I dunno!
17 September 2022
I rate it 7 because I like it but sometimes I dont get how their universe works? We all know thor travel and conquer other worlds, have seen magical beings or magical things but can't cure sick Jane? I dont know if other worlds have cancer too? When thor knew Jane have cancer they got back to earth to cure her cancer Thor didnt think any other worlds who have so advance technology or magical potion or something that can help Jane, But NO we gonna get back to earth that we all know who dont have technology to cure cancer. That's the only issue i got about this film it feels like the drama between thor and Jane are force. Sorry about my english. English is not my mother tounge! Hope you understand.

Film that have a powerful message but a little bit predictable("For me")
3 November 2016
From the director of "The Orphanage" and "The Impossible". So what do you expect? A touching and heartbreaking movie with full of powerful message! I don't want to make this review a long one because this is a film that I like to see in theaters, a film that will give you a lesson in life, a film that will teach you how to let go, I like the dialogue, I like the performance of the actors and actress. One thing that I don't like is it's a little bit predictable about the "Monster" so being a predictable for me is a big loss of points in giving a rate so because of that I will give this film a 3.5 over 5 star!

If you like a film with full of powerful message in life go see it but if you like a film with more action scenes don't waste your time 'cause you will end up disappointed.

A must see movie in IMAX 3D
26 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Doctor Strange doesn't care much on character arcs and splats everything the plot wants the audience to absorb just like the spells they're casting on screen and the upside down sequences that made me dizzy.

The 3D really works. Benedict Cumberbatch did an amazing job as Doctor Strange. I don't feel the movie as a whole yet I'm excited on what Doctor Strange and the Time Infinity Stone fate will be on the next avengers film. Can't wait how the Russo bros will use his powers for INFINITY WAR. The possibilities are endless.

3.5 over 5 star! Jaw dropping Visuals!

Good movie but not emotionally draining like The Lone Survivor.
5 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Based on a New York Times article, "Deepwater Horizon's Final Hours", this film attempt to memorialize the tragedy in red, white, and blue unfortunately speaks to the slender nature of its source, in as much as its plot is essentially nil. Mike Williams (Mark Wahlberg) routinely boards the rig, leaving his wife (Kate Hudson) and daughter on shore. On board the Deepwater Horizon, Mike and Mr. Jimmy (Kurt Russell) bode ill tidings when they discover that the departing drill team left without doing a safety check on the hole. Things turn from bad to worse as BP's Donald Vidrine (John Malkovich), aggrieved at being behind schedule and over budget, eschews the necessary concrete test and excuses a failed systems test in order to proceed with further drilling. Pretty soon, he looks like a jackass when the whole rig explodes in his face.

And after that the film is just Wahlberg running around in a frenzy trying to get people off the rig and because of that they forgot to attached the characters to the viewers that the viewers didn't care anymore to watch the actual video of Deepwater Horizon after the film.

3 over 5. Competently made, more explosion and intense but not a pretty picture.

Another film that will add to "Worst Book-to-Film Adaptations of all time" list.
5 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
You must be advised dear reader that I read the novel version of Paula Hawkins and I can say now that the book is better than the film, that don't waste your time watching this film version, too many scenes from the book that didn't included in the film that leads to plot holes from the film, that only the reader of the book version will understand it.

But in the other side of the coin I liked the casting of this film, Emily Blunt as Rachel, a lonely alcoholic who rides from suburban New York to Manhattan every day, Haley Bennett as Megan a cheater wife, and Luke Evans as Scott a lovely husband, their performance is what I expected from the book version.

I don't want to take this a long movie review because the movie is more drunk than Rachel is!

2 over 5 star!

Let's give it a try!
28 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
You must be advised dear reader that I only watched the movie and I didn't read the book version written by Ransom Rigg!

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is directed by Tim Burton (Director of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish, Frankenweenie and more) and a book adaptation of New York Time's Best Selling novel of the same title.

I think getting Tim Burton to direct this film was wise because he was able to bring his dark and macabre to the story. And the scene with Enoch's "toys" were fighting in classic stop-motion animation is just a signature of Tim Burton and that was perfect for me.

I liked the performance of Eva Green as a Miss Peregrine in this movie, she was perfect in the role, the eyeliner and the long nails to emulate the bird talons was perfect to her!

In the other side of the coin I don't liked the performance of Asa Butterfield as Jake I think his poor acting performance ruined the dark and macabre of the movie, for me he is not fit to the role.

And last but not the least for me the villains are too weak and easy to defeat, and the fighting scene was boring for me!

3 over 5 An entertaining dark adventure of Miss Peregrine and the Peculiar children...

Sausage Party (2016)
3/10
Sorry to say but the sausage is expired!
28 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Sausage Party directed by Conrad Vernon (director of Shrek, Monster vs. Aliens and Madascar) and Greg Tiernan (director of Thomas and Friends) is all about foods that live in the supermarket and they believed that we humans are Gods that when we put them in the cart and we buy them they will go to the promised land but they are wrong!

Not funny as I thought it would be! I love the concept of the movie but not the plot, I think the plot can fit in 8 minutes run not a 88 minutes run. One thing that I loved about this film is the ending that's all!

1.5 over 5 star! Don't waste your money to this movie, just wait it in your television!

Don't Breathe (2016)

Home invasion that you will never forget!
2 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Don't Breathe on point title for this movie plot directed by Fede Alvarez! Their is no spotlight to the cast all cast are performed extremely well and you will feel that every single BREATHE they take in this movie. The Cinematography in the dark is just "WOW" and you can feel the critics said about this movie "Greatest American horror film in 20 years." But I have one problem to this movie is one of the character is hard to die it's just like the other fail horror film that the main character or the killer are hard to die when you shoot him/her in any parts of the body or smashed him/her in the head or any parts of the body he/she still alive!

3.5over5 A nearly perfect film but because of the problem I saw every single horror film the 3.5over5 are fine!

A great film from the beginning to end.
2 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Eduardo Roy Jr.'s (Director) opens the film with the CCTV footage of a random high way and sidewalk houses of several destitute families. The CCTV footage scenes ends when a street children hit by a car and formally introducing Jane (Hasmine Kilip) who carries along her baby as she witnessed the accident and she later meets up with Arries (Ronwaldo Martin) her boyfriend and the father of her baby.

I loved how Kilip and Martin portrayed their characters, Jane and Aries. You will feel their emotion on the screen and you will impressed and convinced with their performances. I love the cinematography of this film especially when Jane cries and the camera focus on her, Ow! I love that scene a lot!

The film ends with no explanation what happened to the main story and I think that's the reason some people didn't like it because they didn't understand the ending. The ending can be intentional to show us the message that there is no end for the hardship of a parents!

3.5over5 This film is a great film but I want more to call this film a masterpiece!

The Pet Story
24 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
When I first saw the trailer the first thing I said was "I think I'm totally sold by this movie." because I'm a pet lover and when I was a kid I'm always said to myself what pets do when we are not at home or what they are thinking about us.

The Secret life of Pets is all about Max and his animal friends. Max (Louis C.K) is a terrier dog living quietly with Katie (Ellie Kemper) his owner. But the happy life of Max and his friends are interrupted by Duke (Eric Stonestreet) a large, brown shaggy mongrel. Max get jealous to Duke because Katie have a larger focus on Duke. So Duke tricks Max into the city because Max do not have a big city experience and they both caught by Animal Control but they both rescued by a rabbit named Snowball (Kevin Hart) the leader of "The Flushed Pets", a cult who hates humans.

Yep I spoil you but not enough because as you can see the plot is the same plot to Toy Story when Buzz Lightyear introduce to Woody and friends so the adventure begins so as you can see when Duke introduced to Max the adventure begins too!

The first 25 minutes showed potential but it was all down hill from there and all the funny things about this movie were included in the trailer so no surprise at all..

The Secret Life of Pets is fun for kids; but missing is that emotional sting where no matter your age.

2 over 5 stars The Secret Life of Pets is not for big boys and they should rename it "The Pet Story" it would be better that way!

Ben-Hur (2016)
7/10
Not an Oscar worthy movie but a movie for the family!
17 August 2016
This movie is a remake of classic Ben Hur that won 11 Oscar awards (That I haven't watched yet). The main character of this movie is Judah Ben Hur and he is a fictional character and the title character from Lew Wallace's 1880 novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ.

Ben-Hur is a 2016 American epic historical action drama film directed by Timur Bekmambetov the director of Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Hardcore Henry so what do you expect for this movie? THE BLOODY CHARIOT RACING!

I love historical films so I enjoyed this movie, but not a lot! The performance of Rodrigo Santoro as Jesus Christ for me is amazing because his scenes were actually effective to this movie! Aside from Santoro, Jack Huston as Judah Ben-hur and Toby Kebbell as Messala is okay to me, okay means not good but not bad as well.

3 over 5 stars! Not an Oscar worthy movie but a movie for the family!
