Fantastic faith-based film
7 September 2021
Definitely the best movie I've seen in a long time. The ladies were great together and acting, writing, directing was spot-on. The story reminds us how God is constantly working in our lives, we just have to listen to him. He can talk to us til the cows come home, but if we aren't paying attention, it won't do any good. I hope to see more faith-based films of this caliber.

A Faith-based version of Freaky Friday
7 September 2021
I'm probably not the target audience of this movie since I'm 47. But I think all ages will enjoy this and get a positive message from it as well. I don't usually like the whole body swap thing, but this was great!! I love that the power of prayer, being kind to each other and ultimately Faith in our mighty and powerful God was the true focus of this wonderful film!

Refreshing
12 October 2019
I see the reviews aren't so great, but I don't care. 3 episodes in so far, and I really like it. I'm not usually a fan of legal shows, but definitely a fan of this one!

Can I sign up for one of the plus-size clusters?
21 April 2019
All the clusters appear to be very attractive. That's just not fair is it? Anyhoo, this show is AMAZING!!!!!! At first I wasn't sure if I'd stick with it because It seemed a little wackadoodle and lots of sex. But hey, I like sex, and the wackadoodle part goes away(not really), once you figure out what in the heck is going on. Every episode feels like a feature film. I have to say I'm unable to find another show to watch now. Everything just seems boring in comparison.

Superb!
8 April 2019
After I watched another New Zealand series called Step Dave, I was interested in more shows from NZ. I discovered Nothing Trivial, and figured I'd give it a go. It's soooo good!!! I watched all 3 seasons in like 4 days. Excellent cast, excellent writing. I like the way the story lines straddle between keeping it light-hearted in nature and downright drama-filled. But it's never over the top, at least not in my opinion. Shane Cortese is one very sexy man, and a gifted actor to boot! But the whole cast is wonderful. Bravo! 👏

Great show from New Zealand
31 March 2019
I just have to say how much I love the New Zealand accent. I initially thought this show would be cheesy and just silly, but I gave it a shot, and ended up watching both seasons in 2 days. It's light-hearted, well-acted, and has lots of attractive people. Too bad there weren't more seasons.

Brilliant!

I'm in love with this show! Everything from storylines to acting to location is just exceptional. There's no nudity or graphic violence, which I appreciate. I look forward to season 4.

I feel like I missed something
24 December 2018
I wanted to love this film. I have much respect and admiration for Alfonso Cuarón, and his passion for story telling. But with that said, I just couldn't into this movie. I didn't like that it was in black & white, and a lot of the time, I felt like I was watching someone's home movie. I'd rather watch my own, if that's the case. The performances were wonderful and I'm so happy for that it's doing well. It's just not my cup of tea. Also, can someone please let that dog outside to poop on the grass already?

A fun ride
11 November 2018
I'd been looking forward to seeing this film for a while. Rami Malek is absolutely phenomenal as Freddie Mercury!! I loved the performances, but the story was a little lacking for me. I know Mercury was a creative genius, but I didn't find him to be very Likeable. Maybe that's just me, I don't know. Overall, it was entertaining and definitely worth watching.

Addiction is a b*tch
11 November 2018
As I was leaving the theater I asked a lady that was walking out next to me if she liked it. She said she had read both books, and was disappointed by the film. I however, have not read the books. I thought the performances were both honest & raw, especially Chalamet and of course Steve Carell. I think this is a film that parents should watch with their kids/teens to open up a dialogue about drugs and addiction.

Warning: Spoilers
I think I've been living in a bubble because I've never even heard of this film until recently. I've never seen a film where I actually liked the drug dealer, and then felt sad when it became apparent that he had died. I read the screenplay before I watched it, because I'm a movie nerd, and totally fell in love with it. Then to watch it was even better. Outstanding performances and outstanding film!!!

Wacky and clever
3 November 2018
Before watching this movie, I read some really bad reviews and almost let those sway me into not watching it. I'm really glad I didn't. I loved it!! Yes, it's crazy, but the world we live in is crazy. And because of that, I really don't think the scenario in the film is that far fetched, however sad that may be. Anyhoo, great cast, great story, great film!

Beautiful tale of humanity
22 October 2018
Oh my god, this freaking movie. I've watched it an embarrassing amount of times. I had no interest in seeing it, and then realized that I had the book in my Kindle and never read it. So I said fine, I'll read it and then watch the movie. I devoured the book, and assumed the movie wouldn't be as good, since movies rarely are as good as the book. I liked it a lot at first, but not as much as I do now. The story, location, actors, time period, etc. make it fantastic and I'm happy a small budget indie film has found so much success.

Stuck in my head
9 October 2018
Usually after an hour and a half at the movies, my butt hurts so bad, and I get antsy to leave the theater. Not this time. My butt still hurt, but I didn't care because I was so engrossed in this freaking movie. I didn't expect the tear jerker, which sucks because I wasn't in the mood to cry and feel things. Anyway, Bradley Cooper is super sexy in this and a triple threat as well since he co-wrote, directed, and acted. Oh and he sings and plays guitar. He's amazing. Lady Gaga is incredible as well. The chemistry is off the charts!! I'd like to get it out of my head though.

Refreshing and touching
22 September 2018
Films with a sincere narrative are my favorite. That's why I usually prefer independent films. I think the reason some people may find this boring is because we live in a society that has become accustomed to instant gratification. Also, so many films have violence, sex, explosions, just a lot of loud noises in general, so this one is unique and refreshing. The directing style reminded me of Richard Linklater, which I loved!! I'm not sure why it's called Third Star. I probably missed the meaning behind it.

Ehhhh, it was ok
17 September 2018
I'm a Jennifer Garner fan going back to Alias when she kicked a lot of bad guy butts. So, I really looked forward to this one. However, in my opinion it was super cheesy, very predictable, not to mention stereotypical. But I still rooted for her character to get the bad guys!! And I have to say I really liked the ending. But I still think Jennifer Garner is capable of much better films.

Quite enjoyable and impressive
17 September 2018
I've only recently been bitten by the Jane Austen bug. Having never been interested in anything historical, I'm suddenly into all of it, Jane Austen in particular. I think Outlander was my gateway book! Anyhoo, I have not yet read this book or have I seen the 1995 film, and this is my only account of the story. So maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much, because I didn't have anything to compare it to. Other than that first weird pseudo sex scene, I thought it was wonderful. Well written, well acted, the whole bit.

Music & Dancing is incredible!
15 January 2018
I am a sucker for a good dance movie, and in my opinion, this falls into that category. Is it cheesy and predictable? Yes, but not quite as cheesy and predictable as some. The acting was decent, but the violin playing and dancing was fantastic! The last dance movie I enjoyed this much was Center Stage back in 2000. If you liked Center Stage, you'll like High Strung!
