Creepshow (2019– )
8/10
Well worth a watch
2 December 2021
As a fan of the 80s Creepshows, when I found out that this had been reimagined I was ecstatic.

Aside from Black Mirror, The Twilight Zone, Evil Dead and maybe a couple of others, most reboots, remakes and so on really miss the mark (Nightmare on Elm Street anyone? No? How about When a Stranger Calls or It?).

Horror was camp and cheesy in the 80s (the golden era of horror) and this has kept the same feel.

If you're a fan that can accept that nothing will ever live up to the originals but is open-minded enough to enjoy a decent attempt at breathing new life into a classic, this is for you.

Just about perfect

Well written, well cast, well acted and brilliant to watch.

I love that they've even ensured the players have some skill.

This is a future classic.

Probably one of the best comedies ever made
13 May 2019
You loved Office Space, right? You'll love Idiocracy.

It's hilarious, has intelligent comedy and in today's current climate... shockingly accurate!!!

Watch this is you have any sense of humour at all.

You won't be disappointed.

They don't make them like this anymore

Genuinely smart and funny writing. A gem that I take pleasure in introducing people to.

Do yourself a favour. Australian comedy doesn't get much funnier than this.

No Heroics (2008)

It's you, not me

If you didn't find this hilarious, witty, refreshing Brit comedy series to your taste, then consider that you likely have no taste.

It's cast is full of actors known for roles in brilliant shows such as Peep Show, Nathan Barley, The Office and Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy.

The premise is great and the characters are a likeable group of second rate misfits jostling for some recognition and dealing with life as a super hero.

Watch it, you won't regret it.

Zombieland (2013 TV Movie)
10/10
Simply brilliant

The haters on here are delusional. This show was hilarious but not everyone has a sense of humour.

Firstly, the name has obviously confused a bunch of people who somehow thought the TV series should be the movie broken up into 6 or 10 parts with the same plot, actors, jokes, etc. Except this is a series and something new. Duh!

Secondly, I see a lot of people complaining about plot holes and lack of realism. Guess what, Zombies aren't real and shows like Red Dwarf are FULL of plot holes but like this show, they own it and it's funny. Besides, it was a pilot. They didn't get the chance to write any scripts!! This was headed in the right direction before people who just hate on everything killed it off.

Thirdly, people moaning about the swearing... seriously? Stop focusing on it and realise that it's part of the joke. Clearly, you were after some Seinfeld material instead of something edgy and funny. I saw someone's review saying "it's nothing like The Walking Dead". Yeah genius, TWD is a drama and this was.... wait for it... a comedy!!!

Lastly, the actors. What were you expecting? The same AAA actors on a new series? The actors that were chosen, not only did an outstanding job, but suit the series. They were hilarious and this was just a pilot!!! Imagine if they'd had the opportunity to develop the characters.

Anyhow, now we will never see what this series could've become and we have nothing in it's place so great job haters, you've managed to hate on something without ever seeing what it could be beyond a pilot.

People like you is why we have reality TV.

Dice (2016–2017)

Wow! Blindsided with this one
19 April 2017
Wow! I saw this was coming out and I thought this would be a half- cooked Dice comeback attempt.

Boy was I mistaken! This is so well done. I've watched the entire series over and over and keep finding new jokes.

I'm not sure how this would go with someone who didn't know who Andrew Dice Clay was, but if you are a fan or are at least familiar with his work... stop reading and watch it now!!!

Pleasantly surprised

Wow! I just accidentally stumbled onto this show the other night and binged a few episodes to find that it is really good... like, REALLY good.

Funny, well-scripted and I can't wait to watch the whole thing from episode 1.

Black Jesus (2014–2019)
8/10
Surprisingly good!!
23 January 2017
this show is well-written, funny and actually contains some surprises. I read a few reviews claiming that it mocks Christianity and so on but believe me, those people haven't watched the show. I say that because the reviews they write complain about things that this show simply doesn't contain.

the show is about a black Jesus in Compton who hangs around a crew of failures and whilst he intends to grow weed, he holds high morals akin to the Christian Jesus.

It's a witty show not totally unlike the movie "Friday" but with a lot of heart and uplifting moments.

Not overly odd like a lot of Adult Swim stuff.

I liked it and I'd recommend watching the show before you judge it.
