I got so excited when I heard about this movie, after having watched and enjoyed A Christmas Story every year for so many years that I can't even count them. It really was so much fun watching A Christmas Story Christmas, seeing the original cast who played the children's roles, now as adults. I now look forward to watching it every year along with A Christmas Story. The movie was put together so well to give it the same feel of the first movie. I give props to everyone who had a hand in making A Christmas Story Christmas, because they did an amazing job. I hope it airs again during Christmas.

In the first episode, I honestly thought I knew who the body was that was being brought on the plane. I thought the writers got it wrong when Shane responded to the couple at the airport. Boy was I surprised when I got to the end of the final episode. I never expected what happened. The writers knew exactly what they were doing, and they did a great job. Can't wait for the second season to start. Today I learned that writers know what they are doing. And not to think that I know what going to happen. I binge watched the entire first season in one day. And I'm sure that the second season will be just as good.

The two main characters are troubled and make poor choices. Given that, I tried to understand their motivations, and watched the movie, thinking that they would either get arrested, or ride into the sunset to live out their lives the best that they could. Right at the end, I realized that my guesses were wrong, and I had just wasted an hour and a half of my life, watching this film. The character did not want his girlfriend to go to prison, but he thought that it would be appropriate to hit her with the shovel, ending her life. I cannot comprehend why he thought that that was a good idea, once again, making bad choices. The film made no sense from the first scene to the last. If you value your time, please don't spend it watching this film.

In several areas of this movie my anxiety ran high. I can't imagine being in the middle of the vast ocean, in a sinking boat, a storm, and without a means of communication. It felt real, and even without any real lines, Robert Redford manages to get it across to the viewers how frustrating that situation would be. This is an excellent movie.

This movie isn't a "must see" movie, but I like Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish. The only question that I have is, in the christian chicken restaurant scene when he announced his passing test score, why were some of the women dressed in skimpy clothing, and what looked like bras? That didn't seem to go along with the scene, and it didn't make any sense to me.

The only explanation that I have for the rave reviews on this movie, is that I suspect that the reviewers are friends and family of the people involved in this film. The movie is sheer idiocy, and a waste of time. Just stupid.

Who wrote this script? The idea of this movie was actually good, but the male character is pathetically weak and unbelievable. I had a hard time believing that this young, buff guy couldn't handle a petitet 115 pound girl. He did get aggressive when she hinted that she did something to his daughter, but even that didn't last long.

I'm really struggling to finish watching this movie, hoping that it begins to make sense. Halfway through it, I'm so frustrated with this main character's series of bad decisions. I don't know who is worse; the stupid, crazy, insane girl who is paranoid or this main character who seems to forget that he has a dead girl in the back seat of his car. He is such a complete idiot, that I'm starting to understand why his wife talks to him the way that she does.

Slow but Good

Even though the movie was slow, I stuck with it. But the slowness probably made me more aware of a couple of "Goofs" in the movie. I'm not able to add to the "Goofs" section, so I'll list them here.
1. At the part where Peter reads the letter, it lists the phone numbers of three people as if they can be reached at different numbers, but all the phone numbers are the same.
2. At two different times, Lucy's car is covered with snow or frost when the car should have been clean. First when she gets out of the car after shopping and again, when she gets out of the car at the lake, In both instances, the warmth of the car should have melted the snow/frost.

I give this movie five stars because it held my attention. However, I held back the additional five stars because the main character made so many unnecessary, bad decisions that I wanted to scream at him to just stop. The first bad decision was not calling the police when he found her with the dogs. Then he was dumb enough to take her to his apartment, WHAT? I wanted to stop watching at that point, but I kept watching. Maybe that was a bad decision on my part.
