James Badge Dale steals the show in this one. He is definitely getting noticed as a great actor. The movie is good in that you think you know where it's headed but goes a different direction. There aren't really lots of jump scares either which I find as cheap scares.

You have to remember something while watching

I enjoyed it. Everyone else here is saying how the characters all make dumb decisions and that this ruined it for them. You need to remember this before and while you watch... They have never done this before and have no idea what's going on. They are nervous as hell so their mistakes are amplified.

If you like the general theme you will like this movie. Though if you like continuity and getting to know the characters then you might not. To me it was just a bunch of decent scenes in Afghanistan in random order.

Warning: Spoilers
The rest of the season doesn't deliver. It's cringe worthy but for the wrong reasons. Sean is so unlikeable as the good looking husband or he is a bad actor. So many times I wanted to say c'mon just tell your wife (us) what Anne made you do! There is nobody else in the room how is anyone going to know you broke the contract?
Anyway, if there is nothing else to watch then give it a go. Maybe you will like it more. Renee Zellweger makes it bearable.

Bait and switch..

I didn't mind this series even though I felt misled after the first episode. Seems like it has potential in future seasons to be solid. Maybe this was just laying the foundation for something big? Idk but just be aware it's not a sci-fi show. 6/10
