Feels Like A Classic To Me

This review is coming from a fresh perspective of someone who had not read the book. I've read a lot of grief from people saying the film was a disgrace to the book but either way there is noway you can say this was a bad movie.

Ready player One is jam packed with nostalgia. Right from the get go you are bombarded with it and it's just so much fun ! In what insanely feels like another Speilberg classic, be prepared one hell of a ride ! Tye Sheridan and Olivia Cooke deliver standout performances. The cinematography is down right beautiful and of course the amazing special effects ! All followed by a stellar story that keeps you wanting more. The films breezes by even having a lengthy 2 hour and 20 min runtime. If adventure is what you want, then look no further. Ready Player One has some excitement for you !

The Movie That Makes You Feel Nothing
8 June 2018
The movie that makes you feel nothing.

I was absolutely stoked to watch the film Thoroughbreds as it was one of the last films Anton Yelchin got to act in before his sad, bizarre, young death. Ive always admired him and thought he was a brilliant actor, who was ahead of his time. The film follows two upper-class teenage girls in suburban Connecticut who rekindle their unlikely friendship after years of growing apart. Together, they hatch a plan to solve both of their problems-no matter what the cost. This indie, drama, thriller captures you with its brilliant acting but falls flat with its very slow pace. There is almost never a sense of urgency in any scene, even though there might be a sense of urgency to the character. The movie that made me feel nothing may have been the point the entire time. With both characters incapable of emotion, the film itself is purposely stagnent. This film had a stellar score, A + acting and stylish visuals but the story just felt a little to on the simple side and failed to really attach me to what could have been a top notch, new age teen thriller. All in all, I watched this film to see Anton Yelchin in one of his last rolls and he was brilliant as always, Olivia Cook and Anya Taylor-Joy are fantastic in everyway and keep the movie afloat although its eagerness to sink.

A Quiet Place (2018)

Tension tighter than a loaded gun
23 May 2018
Tension tighter than a loaded gun. As soon as the film starts rolling the tension beings to tighten and it does not let off during its entire 1 hour and 25 min run time. Now that may seem like a short film, but with the movies lack of dialogue this runtime is actually perfect for its style. In a world where a great horror movie is near impossible to find, a quiet place will leave you picking your jaw up off he floor on multiple occasions. Watching this film in theatres may have been one of the best movie watching experiences I have ever had. The director had the audience in the palm of his hands the entire film and you could feel the suspense in the thick air of a packed theatre. Everyone on the edge of their seat trying as quiet as possible to scarf down their popcorn during the silence of A Quiet Place. With an amazingly strong cast and even more amazing directional debut by John Krasinski A Quiet Place is not a film you want to miss watching on the big screen. So find a theatre that is still showing this original thriller and grab a ticket, just remember not forget your jaw on the floor on your way out.

A thought provoking love story that raises the standard and changes the sci fi genre with a fist full of heart
7 November 2014
Interstellar truly left me speechless. A thought provoking love story that raises the standard and changes the sci fi genre with a fist full of heart. Although this may not be Nolans best from a directional stand point, and the pot may be slightly boiling over from a few minor plot holes, this film is so ambitious that you cant really be that upset by these points. The acting and screenplay really leave nothing to be desired as Matt Mac is stunning in everyway imaginable with an absolutely stellar supporting cast. Although this film may not be for everyone ill leave you with this. You'll either love it, or hate it… But Interstellar gave me the movie experience i had been waiting for. (8/10)

Turtles for toddlers

The only decent thing about the New (TMNT) Michael Bay extravaganza was the light hearted comic relief, ill admit I chuckled a few times. The cake walk nostalgic throwbacks were comforting, but I wont sell my self short so easily. Having said that, there was absolutely no substance what so ever. It was really a "half shell" of a film... Screw Michael Gay and your nonsensical, "reverse continuity" garbage shots, that cost a buck and rally a penny. And Megan fox, although she is a dime, she is a Terri actress. Ill leave you with this, its a fun day trip to the theaters, your kids will love it, which will make you love it. Just be prepared for your child's wish list, to get a little longer. Sick product placements bro ! (5/10) #1990turtles #forlife #shittyremakes #tryhardfilms #orangecrush #pizzahut
