Set Me Free: Vol. I (2016)

I loved it

Have just watched both volumes of Set Me Free. I loved it, great story, convincing, great locations. A mammoth task pulled off. Some really good performances as well. I really hope they go places in their potential acting careers. The film creators should be very proud of that piece of work. Felt very sympathetic towards the characters and their struggles, experiences and challenges they face. Both volumes should have more views than most things I've seen. It's actually injustice that it hasn't got the recognition it deserves. Easily one of the most tense and entertaining independent films out there.

The Electric Man (2022)

The Electric Man - an honest review

Viewers who don't mind dialogue-heavy films and serious themes should find The Electric Man an interesting watch. While it does have a point of view it never pushes it to the point of alienating those, like myself, who don't necessarily agree with it. I will say I wasn't thrilled by the way it all works out in the end, but others will probably get a chuckle from it.

Pretty good. Liked it for what it was and that's all that the audience needs to understand. Obviously the poster is what you get into and it wasn't going to be an original storyline but I thought it was entertaining regardless. Not sure where all the hatred's coming from.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

An unnecessary remake

Andrew Garfield did a great job in this but I felt that this film focused more on the romance between Peter and Gwen rather than the webs linger himself. Music was awful. Dennis Leary is always great.

X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

By far, the best X-Men movie ever!

I was totally blown away after watching a couple of seconds of the end credits were rolling. Mouth wide-open, palms sweaty. It was by far the best X-Men movie I have ever seen, simply because of the narrative storytelling. It was outstanding, original and probably the most emotional one yet as we truly see a dark side of the mutants suffering with the human race and quite frankly getting fed up with their existence. What captured my attention ever since I knew this film was going to be made, was the fact that actors from X-Men: First Class and the original 00's X-Men movies were all working together, which was exciting stuff! I'm a massive fan of time-travel and the fact that the old and the new actors were in the same film (in the past and future) was majestic. I will say though is that you have to watch the previous movies before watching this one. If you're watching this with a fresh mind, then the story is not going to be clear for you (good thing that I'm a X-Men fan!) cause there's a load of references that link the previous movies to this current one, especially the very first X-Men films.

But once you've done your homework, analysing and understanding what's happening in the X-Men world, then you'll truly appreciate this movie. I am so looking forward to X-Men: Apocalypse (the next chapter)
