Confessions of a Porn Addict (2008)
Confessions of a really bad actor that plays himself
Spencer Rice plays a character who mirrors his own quirks, insecurities and addiction. Spencer's portrayal of a chronic masturbator is watchable, requiring minimal acting effort yet delivering a performance that resonates with some authenticity. This movie is not terribly, unlike some other work he's written... I think we can thank the director and the rest of the crew for this. There are some funny lines in the movie and a good soundtrack (containing A Space Holiday!).
If you want more of Spenny, watch "Single White Spenny" to see something truly awful. And watch "Kenny vs Spenny" if you want to see the real confessions of this porn addict. It's a real and brilliant and funny character study about Spencer's tragic life, disguised as a series of 2 best friends competing each other.
Arcadia (2023)
Failed to impress
This TV serles made headlines for its big budget, and proves you need more than money to make an interesting show. The story revolves around people's credit score. Not a very original idea, but could still be interesting if executed well. We see the lives of a family where the father gets sentenced for messing with his daughters credit score. He has to go and leave his family behind. Now we follow the lives of his wife and daughters. Not much happens next. The show is slow, very slow. The acting is poor and the dialogues are very dull. None of the characters are interesting or move you emotionally. The show depicts a dystopian future, but mostly because that future looks so boring and uninteresting.
GR5 (2020)
A story with more holes than swiss cheese
A lot of ridiculous plot twist, only topped by an ending that makes zero sense, but some nice locations.
