Eddie Murphy: Delirious (1983)
Watch the original version with Richard Pryor
This is practically a rehash of Richard Pryor's Live on Sunset Strip set. It's funny but practically every joke relies on a Richard Pryor's joke. And Eddie Murphy isn't even in the least bit ashamed about ripping him off. I could go into detail but compare the two for yourself.
The Stranger (2020)
Plotholes
What an unbelievable waste of time. The plotholes were beyond ridiculous and at least 4 of the sub storylines made absolutely no sense and were for filler only.
Who do I invoice for the 8 hours back?
La influencia (2019)
Suspiria
I think the Director watched A few too many Dario Argento movies.
Cuando los ángeles duermen (2018)
English dubbing easily solved.
Don't half of the people on this site realise that you can turn the dubbed version off with two clicks and then watch it in the original Spanish with subtitles?
The Twilight Zone: A Traveler (2019)
Storm of the century?
This felt like a very poor rip off of Stephen King's storm of the century.
That Night (2018)
I've seen some dross in my time...
I've seen some utter garbage in my nearly 40 years. And, I've made a lot of garbage too as I have a BA (hons) degree in film studies from a London Uni. Nothing quite prepared me for this though. I am absolutely blown away at how this was even funded let alone found it's way into Amazon Prime. It reminds me of the awful media studies rubbish I put out at GCSE media studies level, aged 16.
The plot is non-existent and nothing any of us haven't seen before (stalker fancies girl at work, has a one night stand, won't take no for an answer and becomes homicidal) so nothing groundbreaking, unique or hint at a novel take on this tired plot to make this even slightly redeemable or worth wasting an hour on. I won't even start on the acting! Please God, unless you're a media studies student looking to see how it shouldn't be done, don't press play.
Fear Thy Neighbor (2014)
We have a similar programme in the UK...
It's called The Nightmare Neighbour Next Door on Channel 5. Just as appalling and shocking. But, with one minor difference. No one gets their head blown off.
