No Letting Go (2015)
10/10
Great film that needs to be seen to help make a change.
12 January 2016
I thought this film as a powerful story of the struggle many people go through with having a family member suffer from Mental Illness. They are people we see every day. I am so happy to see it's success as this subject can never get enough attention. There is still stigma and not enough services and change is needed. The acting was so well done I thought I was watching like a fly on the wall their struggles. Seeing the recovery of this young man was very hopeful as there are enough stories that don't end as well. The reason I believe is again due to stigma and lack of properly funded services. When will we see that Mental Illness are Addiction need to be properly funded and quality professionals need to be appropriately compensated for the hard and often heartbreaking work they do??

Great depiction of how Mental Illness effects the whole family

Illness grabbed hold of me and hasn't let go. Being in the Substance Abuse/Mental Health field for 30 years I know the frustrations patients, family members, providers, advocates go through to help provide proper care with limited resources and very frustrating insurance constraints. I also have had family members go through problems with children etc. We all know someone. I can't wait to see the full length picture. I hope it will bring more awareness to the problem and help advocate for more solutions and relief for caregivers.

The acting felt so real to me also. I felt like I was a fly on the wall of this family. It is very hard to accomplish that in 13 minutes.
