The Borderlands (2013)
Decent film. Terrible infuriatingly bad finish.
Imagine you invest the better part of two hours of your life getting to know a bunch of a characters in an intriguingly put together well thought out film. Then right when you are getting ready for some kind of climax it just cops out and takes a dump on the audience and basically throws the entire film's production values (along with your time) out of the window.
It's well shot, decently acted and overall a good imitation of the Paranormal Activity style of films that seem to be on the rise.
It had potential up until the finish where it seemed the writer just gave up and decided to insult the audience with a diabolically bad, rage inducing, anti-climactic finish. 4 / 10 would not recommend to anyone intelligent. Had it not been for this I'd of given it a 7 or possibly a 7.5 but alas, the ending really was that bad. It's a damn shame too because I would really like to see British films succeed and do well.

Brilliant Family Film
I do not how the hell one of my all time childhood favourite films is rated 5 but I can tell you this film is one of the greatest family films of all time even watching it again all these years later.
Great film about family love, awesomeness and man's best friend. I made an IMDb account just so I could make a review to defend this film as I was shocked to see it had such a low rating when in reality this film is an all time classic. Understanding the bond between man and animal really helps you tie into the emotional connection the family has with the dog.
10/10 as a family film / comedy. Will be watching with my kids for sure and you should too.
