The Possession of Michael King (2014)
An Actual Horrible Horror
After seeing what seems like every possession movie in the horror market, I accidentally came across this one and I was not let down. This film is incredibly dark, demonic, horrendously creepy and enough to scare even avid horrid fans such as myself.
Everything about this film is brilliant. It's better than most of the modern horrors with their million dollar budgets. The sounds, the imagery, the set, the storyline of it, it's just horrible and another brilliant part is that the jumpscares are well paced and thought out.
This is how modern horror should be made and we need more of this kind of level of horror movie.
It's absolutely brilliant, give it a watch, you'll love it.
Benny Loves You (2019)
BEAR with it
You have to get past the ridiculous opening scene with the mother and daughter and take it for what it is; a horror COMEDY.
It's absolutely brilliant! It's so silly and over the top but so clever and darkly funny. I would highly recommend it, just bear with the strange opening scenes.
Cupid (2020)
???
It's literally a student film that had a budget about £10. It's trash. They can't seem to decide if it's British or American as the terms they use and the accents keep changing. The acting is the most horrendous thing you can imagine. I can't tell whether it's just really really bad or if they're trying to make it a comedy horror. The SFX is like a 5 year old was let loose with some oil paint. I just ???? Why???
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018)
Traumatic
Ok so Lily James is perfect in it. It's a beautiful film with the location and the Baranski/Walters combo but oh my god what a load of depressing drivel. There's absolutely no need for Donna's death and that horrid Christening scene traumatised me for life. It's SO SAD. Donna should've been written as a woman who flew off to some other country to live with her love and was well and good and came back for the Christening perhaps but no they went and killed her off and made everyone sad. Never felt so depressed after leaving the cinema. 7/10 for cast. 1/10 for story and -50/10 for the feel good factor it's supposed to have like the first. Yikes
Hellthy (2019)
It's a joke, right?
This film is utter tripe, the filming is like a school's film class gone wrong. The acting is that bad they probably didn't even audition for this film, just straight up picked randoms from the nearest street. It doesn't even make sense? You couldn't even watch this for a joke it's that bad. 0 stars would be good if possible
Wounds (2019)
what a waste
Despite the numerous low ratings on here i gave this film a go. was decent enough, good amount of fairly jumpy jumpscares and then we get to the ending. What an absolute stupid, pointless end. Looks like they ran out of ideas and had to cut the film short. Not even one of those horror endings that people love to hate and leave you guessing. It was just really really awful.
Don't bother watching.
The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018)
Cliché horror
Seeing the trailer for this film gave me the greatest expectations of yet another demonic possession film. The film itself however... is so meh. at best. It's one giant cliché. If you're a fan of horror literally nothing in this film will shock you or scare you. Usual jump scares, usual contortion scenes, usual new hospital starter working alone at night. Not much else to say about it
Friended: Deep Dark Web (2018)
2nd Unfriended Rip Off
Watched this film the day before I saw Unfriended: Dark Web, felt like I knew the whole plot of the film as this film directly takes all ideas from Unfriended but change some minor details, Unfriended Dark Web is much better, better quality and better production.
E-Demon (2016)
Unfriended Knockoff
Well. it sounded good. the premise is great - however this falls way flat on its face. it's like a middle aged unfriended rip. the characters are all mid 30s and it's nowhere near jumpy or any way a decent "horror" film. just don't bother it's just.
???? i have no words.
it's terrible.
