A Million Little Pieces (2018)
Taylor Johnson's Miscarriage
I really was looking forward to see play Aaron in a real life drama as an alcohol addict. I've seen him playing beautiful roles in independent productions, and was like " yeah, this is an interesting actor, who could blow us away on screen in the near future. ( i'm a big admirer of Christian Bale, Johnny Depp, Rayn Gosling, they w're all talented at a young age )
So , one of the first scenes I watched in this drama, I wasn't convinced already ...but there w're still 150 min to go ....
Unfortunately my expectations w're to high. Aaron couldn't keep my attention. For me it didn't work to see an alcoholic with a gym/workout body.
His acting wasn't convincing enough either, he didn't draw me into the misery nor the hope.
The direction of Sam was at times interesting, but in overall she kept it flat, I was missing the depth!!!
I'm sure they have beautifull marriage.......but this production was unfortunately a miscarriage.
But I really hope to see Aaron shine some day, coz he's such a talented young and attractive actor. So for me 5 out of 10.
The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
90's Classic
It's March 31st 2020 and watched this brilliant late nineties thriller tonight for the maybe 4th or 5th time since it came out. Each watch every 4 to 5 years or so it's keeps me still so entertained ...the young and talented rising moviestars giving a top notch performance, a strong script, beautiful shots of Venice and Rome.
Hollywood in present day doesn't make them like this anymore .....such a pity, there is so much talent out there.
Give it a try.....u will not be disappointed. Njoy the watch in this awkward Corona Crisis. <3
Just Mercy (2019)
Justice !!
Just another Hollywood production....(for those who know what i'm talking about!!) Noting new to the horizon.
Otherwjse I wish u a great watch .
Ghostland (2018)
Disturbing..in a good way .
Hi there horror lover,
when I saw the trailer a month ago, it gave me a vibe of old skool Taxes Chainsaw Massacre. I realy don't know why actually :) So last night is was into a horror flick and thought , why not give it a try. Couldn't wait for Hereditary to release hahaa.
And I must say, I was surprised. In a positive way! It is not mainstream and there is drama in it. As well as the twist, which reveals halfway. It's kinda phsycho and disturbed. I think I can catagorise it in the genre like Green Room or Split, which I loved of it's original. There a some minor plotholes, and the ending..... could have been better taken care off, but nevertheless.....above average. Njoy the disturbance :D 7 out of 10
Ready Player One (2018)
Spielberg ...who..?
I have been a big fan of Steven Spielberg since his very early years, and I guess there are many....many out there with me. And I don't even have to mention the titles, they will pop up in you're memory .....like...... hehe.
The pop culterel stuff: enough said in other reviews
The story line: Has this been written for ....No brainers ?
The musical score: As if I was watching his older work, but whith new images.
The acting/actors: No standouts
And yes, the visuals w're stunning, but is that the only value for your money?
Halfway I was considering, shall I leave the theatre.....I was thinking, this is a stupid movie, but I wanted to give it a chance.
Sorry Mr. Steven .. 4 out of 10
Annihilation (2018)
Wasting billions ....and w're buying it..?!
Just don't know where to start, but since several years the film industry has declined...correction: Has "Annihilated" itself!
I have seen several big screen movies lately and was thinking, did they really make this ?? And did I really pay for this...or why did I streamed it online. The film industry is spending billions, and cannot make a movie without being ridiculous. While the moviegoer is accepting it.
I will not spoil anything, but once more is was like: Wow, plotholes all over the place and illogical matters. You don't need to be an intellect to figure that out.
