Deca na sonceto (2014)
A story of family faith love and loss
"A touching story of family and social relations, permeated with love, hopelessness, but also with a belief in miracles, set in contemporary Macedonia".
The production value and the technical characteristics of the film are at a very high level, the photography is really good, the music is exquisite and the set on the lake is excellent. All actors are assertive and, in principle, flawless. Vlado, Meto and Emir can always build a role out of nothing and function in the same manner here. The younger actors, Kire and Ivana, got a difficult task since their characters are uncompleted sketches and they were supposed to be the ones that carry the emotional weight of the film. They managed this challenge well, even more experienced actors would have had difficulties pulling this out.
Wheels (2014)
I wish I could have watch it in theaters
I remember reading about this movie coming out in theaters and couldn't make it to Los Angeles. It was too big of a gamble to make that trip, but I wish I had.
After a long time it finally came out and I was able to rent it on Amazon. It is one of the movies that sits with you long after you watch it. I recommend it highly, it will stick to your ribs.
Mickey is played by an actor named Donavon Warren, who I couldn't find any real info on. Looks like this is his first big break. Mickey is paraplegic who can't face the fact that his mother left and so he turns to slitting his wrists. Then he ends up in a hospital and promises not to ever kill himself again to an orderly. This sends Mickey on a journey to find a way to kill himself. He then finally comes to a guy named Drake. Who is hands down phenomenal. I am not sure who is a better actor but the two of them together chew up camera. Mickey pays Drake five hundred dollars to shoot him. Drake tries and does...this is when I could not stop dieing laughing.
From there Drake takes Mickey to meet a hooker who Mickey falls in love with. They they go to a drug dealer and get drugs. They shoot up and...
Mickey is all skinny and homeless (I don't know how Warren lost all that weight). I need that diet. From there they set eachother on fire and the story keeps going. I don't want to give too much away, but this movie really gets you.
The acting is great, the story is great. It's a great film. I just wish I could have seen it on the big screen.
Black Ruby (2017)
A one mate show: Brando and Montgomery Clift
I watched Black Ruby at the London Film Awards. The story follows an obese swine of a being Jules Mandel, played by Joseph Mennella who falls for a black manipulative harlot named Ruby, played by Krystal E. Heredia and the delinquent disturbed best mate Louis Katz played by Zachary Laoutides who falls lovesick for her.
Aside from the story being hailed the first feature of 2017 to be shot with the iPhone-7, the storyline is the highlight focusing on manipulation, naughty ideas, opportunist males, and abuse. I have seen the film reviews since the festival and promotional shards 'Bradno and Montgomery Clift performances.' I don't know how they'd compare Jules Mandel's character Brando like. It's a stubby performance of a bruised man but nothing out of the ordinary. Louis Katz played by Zachary Laoutides owns the night modifying his skin, eyes and hair for the part; that's Brando for you! Laoutides' delicate and inner pain is Clift. You need to appreciate the mate for writing and acting in his own film for a third time.
It would have been nice to have the mates here for the FAQs so I can deliberate some of their artistic choices. The rank above is really attributed to my amusement of the Lewis Katz character.
Blood Money (2017)
Great movie!
The tension just keeps building throughout and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I still can't work it all out completely but highly recommended if you love a thriller with a good amount of horror and action towards the end. My family enjoy this film very much. We watch it again.
Bane v Superman: The Movie (2016)
Epic Journey on a low budget
I don't think I've ever seen a little movie with so much travelogue on it. The camera work was very professional and the choice of scene changes was splendid. Some of the sequences cut a little quick and I'm sure that was what they wanted. Still the overall look of this movie was quite good and it had a wide variety of shots and locations. Gotham City was dark and urban and then Smallville was richly layered and Metropolis had it's own palatial contrast. Can't believe all the scene and location changes and nature photography there was in this film. One could argue a certain sophistication in the shots that you rarely get from fan movies. At one point it went from aerial stars to fresh snow falling on the ground. This accomplished a unique knockout that travels from outer space to the Fortress of Solitude. All and all, a standard low budget works because of the edit and the cinematography. It was really balanced and beautiful looking at times. Most fan efforts are shot in someone's back yard or basement and they don't care about giving you scene changes at all. This movie constructed a poetic kaleidoscope that was probably more palpable than the narrative. I mean I guess the story was okay. I'd say the acting was actually good but the look and versatility is what really made the movie passable for me. It had a keen variety in the vision and just when you thought you had seen it all there was another change in land scope. Sort of reminded me of an actual comic book sometimes with all the quick cut flickering imagery. I don't think the cinematography in this kind of a movie had ever been a strong enough focus for my standards, but with this fan picture it was. I'm already over the golden age of comic book movies we're living through. You get a lot more from just watching nature then you do going to most green screen movies these days. In my opinion the natural elements are some of the most timeless elements you can put on film. I really believed the differences in one location to the next because they offered a genuine antithesis. I don't want to say it upstaged the rest of the effort cause it only served to augment the story as a visual construct. I just guess my sensibilities are more about the technical look and this is where it actually delivered. I'm just not as interested in another superhero versus villain boxing match so much as I am at seeing meticulous ambition without the big money and this film got some amazing footage.
There's a lot to see in this movie. I replayed some of the sequences twice to notice all the detail and I think the logistics of the scenic changes played a huge part in my appreciation of this. Like I say if you've seen most fan films they consist of one down played indoor set up to save time and money. This one went the distance to show you don't need a huge budget to find and attain natural beauty.
Nobody's Perfect (2016)
Awesome story!
Finally, a domestic violence movie that gets it right. This is a good horrible story told. Which is not easy when you're dealing with tough issues like child abuse and domestic violence. The control factor. The abuser separates the victim from friends and family. Physical and verbal abuse. And then showing the cycle that causes domestic abuse. All in one film. Way to go. It's never a pretty sight to see people abused. But this was done artsy and entertaining. I love the lessons being taught and stats at the end. The film is simultaneously suspenseful, funny, and psychologically intriguing. Very powerful movie. Nice job to the filmmakers. I can't praise this film enough!

A Little Heart (2015)
Awesome creation!
I see this short film this is really good. A Little Heart is a short film about a student who finds a disused music room, and rediscovers the old magic of playing an instrument.I enjoy every single moment. Emotion is showing every seen. This music carries emotion and past memories. Moreover it was the instrument which is very important part of this short film.

Adios Vaya Con Dios (2014)
Beyond bullets
If you think you're getting guns and action you're completely in for a surprise. I didn't expect a film carved out with such an artistic hint. Actor and writer Zachary Laoutides does something very different then just your classic gangster film. Adios Vaya Con Dios may have not reached it's full potential due to limitations, but creatively Zachary Laoutides with his talented art designer, Alfredo Kaos Leon who created the skeletorian makeup add depth into the lackluster films that Hollywood has been creating that trust in formulations.
There is something different at work here, one in the stylishness of how the film is shot by Timothy J. Aguado, the rock music, the transitions from scenes introducing us with montage setups, as Olmec gang leader Tiger De'Leon puts it, "This isn't your hood," and I'm glad it's not the typical Hollywood hood instead we are getting something intellectual and imaginative.
It may disappoint some, who are awaiting gang warfare to erupt on the tough Chicago streets, but Zachary Laoutides stays authentic and truthful to the storytelling and budget he had.
300 (2006)
A Great Movie
I hope that this movie inspires people Although this movie is not completely historically accurate, when I read actual historic accounts there is a fairly strong framework of truth that the movie is built around. There are also quotes from the real battle used in the movie. These quotes show the amazing bravery of the Greek fighters. This is a very engaging dreamlike account of a relatively small group of fighters who helped make a BIG difference in the history of Europe.
For anyone who loves or even just respects Democracy, what happened at Thermopylae should be of high interest. I hope that this movie inspires people to read what is actually known about this heroic event.
Waterfall 1: No Words, No Sex, Just Relax (2014)
Nothing better, than listening to the waterfall
I work at a dentist's office and in the waiting room we are always looking for new entertainment programs. Otherwise we have always looked for campfire. Then I came across this wonderful movie and have only looked at it to me privately. The waterfall is incredibly soothing. It totally relaxes me. Just right for the office. After the first few weeks of the first clients came up to me and asked me where to get this movie. I know many very excited customers who are waiting and after watching this film they are much more relaxed and went to the doctor. I have the feeling that many people have less fear. They just go relaxed to the doctor.
if I have a annoying day, for me there is also nothing better than listening to the waterfall. I can only recommend it to everyone and especially for medical practices. The customers will thank you.
The Lucky One (2012)
Zac is an awesome actor
This movie got my attention from the start. Actually I thought all the actors did a great job.. Great movie! Zac is an awesome actor and this movie shows that. I loved how it didn't look fake and mashed together but very well made. I also loved the little kid! He was so cute and his little violin! It was great watching how the characters changed through the story and you could see the change happen instead of wondering what just happened to that person?!
It was a very cute movie and i would recommend it to anyone per-teen and up. Love to be introduced to new cool places through films. Anyway, a totally enjoyable chick flick!
