Utter garbage

How on earth did this get to be released?

This movie is complete snd utter garbage.

It makes the Secret Service out to be a bunch of pathetic morons. It makes the heroine look utterly stupid. Who goes into an armoury full of the most spectacular weaponry and comes out with just a pistol?

I think the 12 year olds who wrote and directed this movie should go to college before they think of writing and directing again. They did a P poor job on this one.

I honestly can't believe that someone sat in an office and actually thought it would be a good idea to release this trash. It rather makes me think there may have been a little nepotism going on or something similar.

Battle Los Angeles (2011)

An absolute joke

This movie is ludicrously hilarious. If ever I am in a similar situation I hope to God that the USMC DON'T come to rescue me. In this movie almost all of the marines come across as pathetic pansies.

Whimpering and moaning, disfunctional and argumentative, this group, frankly, deserved to bite the big one except for the 'heroic' staff sergeant. Hilarious.

The storyline is pathetic as the US has only ever won one war on its own and that was the US Civil War so to laughingly imply that they could beat a group of aliens who have travelled from a different universe is fantasy to say the least.

What a waste of almost 2 hours that I'll never get back.

Love the Coopers (2015)

Perfect

Ifvever there was a Christmas movie that hit the nail right on the head then this is that movie.

With a stellar cast, perfect script, inspirational direction and a fabulous story, this movie is the epitome of the family Christmas.

I can't even imagine how many people I've suggested this movie to after watching it. It is pure class and I know I will watch it every year now.

The empathy that you feel towards these people is startling. I'm quite cynical about mostvthings but this movie really made me think about my attitude and reconsider my choices and how I relate to other family members. Maybe I'm just seeing my new world through rose tinted spectacles but so what?

Christmas Collision (2021)

Poorly executed

This movie suffers from a dreadful script, dreadful direction and dreadful acting. Basically, it's shockingly bad.

You feel no empathy towards the guy potentially losing his family home. The side characters seem absolutely pointless and the storyline is just rubbish.

There are farvtoo many cuts to people who you have absolutely nonidea whatvrelevance they have to the story and the whole execution of the 'christmas festival' would make me run a mile rather than visit the dire event.

The lead male character obviouslybhas a background but you don't find out wherevhe's from or why he left until it's too late and you;ve decided he's notbworthy of a relationship or a happy ending.

Avoid like the plague.

The Time Traveler's Wife (2022)

A great show that HBO killed too soon

This show was a breath of fresh air. Something different that for once wasn't too soppy, didn't require you to vote, was well written, directed and acted and hit every emotion. I was totally gutted to discover it hadn't been renewed. How utterly short sighted of HBO. I just hope another network or a streaming service has the sense to take it on and widen its audience.

The Fourth Musketeer (2022)

This movie promised so much but ultimately disappoints.

Very poorly choreographed fight scenes. Bad direction. Average acting.

Its a very slow film that doesn't actually go anywhere. It is nowhere near as good as any single episode of the TV show from 2014 to 2016. These were very well written and directed and had top quality fight scenes. Obviously the director of this movie did no research before creating this mess!

What a waste of a budget and my time!

Stargirl (2020–2022)

Season 2 disappointment

Just how wrong have the writers got season 2 Kids of this age would have no issues whatsoever in killing 'baddies'. Especially bearing in mind these 'baddies' had tried to kill them and their friends several times.

To lumber the current JSA with these guilt feelings is insane!

I think the writers must be totally unaware of the video games that kids play these days and are obviously unaware of how kids love revenge these days.

Is season 2 made for pre-teen viewers? It certainly seems that way.

And Pat is a pussy too being a complete pansy when it comes to dealing out revenge for the ISA killing most of his previous 'gang'.

Come on writers. Get real and put the junior JSA into the real world for season 3 or lose more viewers. Take a leaf out of Marvel's book!

Rarely do I stop a film before the end just in case a bad movie redeems itself somehow. I wasn't prepared to suffer and longer with this piece of utter garbage. How the hell did this get released? It should have been kept as a home movie so that the general public are protected.

Raised by Wolves (2020–2022)

So far so good

I've only watched tgree episodes so far but haven't been disappointed so far. Having said that, Sir Ridley hardly ever disappoints.

My main concern about the series so far is that if religion is still around in any form in the era that this show is set, I think we're all screwed anyway! I would seriously hope that we've grown out if these fairy stories by then!

I'll update this as I progress through the series.

This film is absolutely ludicrous. I would imagine the French Special Forces are disgusted with how shambolic they appear in this dreadful movie.

It should have been around 15 minutes longer to fill in the glaring holes in editing.

Frankly, the cop deserved everything she got in episode 1. She's bloody useless.

Badly written and directed, it seems to be relying on sub-Doctor Who effects to generate excitement when in fact it is just too crap to garner any sympathy for the hapless cop.

Not too bad, especially compared to the first disaster! Unfortunately, it drags in places and could relatively easily have been an hour shorter and not lost any of the plot or storyline. I still can't accept Affleck as Batman though.

Wynonna Earp (2016–2021)

Enjoyable but amateurish audio

I have enjoyed previous seasons of Wynonna Earp but I have noticed that, as each season has arrived, the speech audio recording has got worse. Mumbling, whispering, muttering. All making what should be an enjoyable fantasy ride into a frustrating 40 odd minutes with each episode. I think that the sound recodist needs to up his or her game and try and ensure that the audience can actually hear the actors. It's really not rocket science! There are many good microphones and recording systems out there. The producers just need to find someone who knows how to use them!

Twist (2021)

I have to say that I'm torn. I never thought I'd see a film as badly written, directed and acted as Tenet was. It appears that I was wrong! This piece of utter garbage equals Tenet in being a waste of time that I'll never get back.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

Painful

I was so full hope that DC had finally got their act together after the release of the first Wonder Woman movie which I thoroughly enjoyed. Watching Wonder Woman 84, however, left me in no doubt that DC had, yet again, fallen back into their old routine of being crap! The script was dire, the acting of the support characters was embarrassing, bearing in mind their actual abilities, and the direction was shocking! Example; Chris Pine's character comes back to life, having been a WW1 pilot, and suddenly knows how to fly a Tornado fighter???? Please credit your audience with some intelligence. Pedro Pascal, after his great performances in The Mandalorian, was shocking! And how are we supposed to guess that his health kick was vital to him? At least give us more of a clue than him asking one underling if his supplements are in his office. For heaven's sake! It promised so much but, ultimately, was a massive disappointment. DC, you can only dream of approaching the level of Marvel if you actually bother using tried and trusted script writers and directors.

Tenet (2020)

How on earth this film got the good reviews is utterly beyond my comprehension! The ONLY good thing about it was the editing. The sound was crap. The acting was mediocre and the direction was not up to the Nolan standard. I waited ages to see this film and just wish I'd never bothered!

Greyhound (2020)

I can't understand the poor reviews on this movie. I thought it highly emotive and extremely well acted, written and directed. More war films should be made like this. This movie shows just how traumatic the Battle of the Atlantic must have been and is a credit to the film makers

This movie had all the makings of a good Christmas movie, until the dialogue starts! Frankly, the sound recording is absolutely dire. Dialogue sounds mumbled and quiet and then tinny and loud. Was the sound guy taking advantage of some recreational chemicals?

Destination Wedding (2018)

Much, much better than expected

I approached this movie with a cynical eye as I'm not a huge fan of Keanu. I was very plasantly surprised at the wit and skill which was shown. Excellent scripting, directing and acting made this an absolute joy to watch and I can highly recommend it. I may have to rethink my attitude towards Keanu haha

I guess the giveaway should have been when I was watching the opening credits! This guy is so full of himself it's unbelievable. In all honesty, I've seen better productions of nativity shows at primary schools. Shocking camera work, direction, acting, script. The list just goes on. I can only assume that this guy Aeneas paid for verything himself as some glorious self promoting spectacle as I can't believe that anyone else would offer a penny to get this onto the market. Seriously, don't waste your time on this 'movie'. It's time wasted that you'll never, ever get back. The only thing I can suggest as a use for this film is in a filography school whereby they use it as an example of how NOT to make a movie.

Timeless (2016–2018)

Great in parts.

Great TV show but far too much emphasis on American history! The rest of the world has some real history too. And whoever thought Wyatt would be believable as ex-special forces must be smacked off their faces! He is beyond useless! Crap shot, can't obey orders and he looks like a puppy. Every fight he gets into he looks like he's going to die but some schmuck saves him. Ludicrous. The rest of the cast and characters are great though.
