Joy Ride (2023)
8/10
Hilarious, I loved it better than Hangover.
30 July 2023
"Joy Ride" takes the comedy genre to new heights, delivering an exhilarating and side-splitting cinematic experience that left me thoroughly entertained. As a self-proclaimed geek, I was utterly satisfied with the clever references and well-executed homages throughout the film. The way they weaved these nods into the storyline was delightful, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.

The film's plot, while predictable, managed to keep me hooked from start to finish. It was a crazy messup of hilarious mishaps and relatable moments that had me laughing throughout. Unlike "Hangover," there were no cringe-worthy characters like Alan, which was a refreshing change. Each character brought something unique to the table, contributing to the comedy without overdoing it.

The comedic brilliance of "Joy Ride" lies in its ability to blend outrageous situations with genuine relatability. The characters' predicaments felt authentic, and their reactions were so spot-on that it was impossible not to burst out laughing. The chemistry between the cast members was evident, and their comedic timing was impeccable.

In conclusion, "Joy Ride" is an absolute delight for comedy lovers. The film not only satisfied the geek in me with its well-executed references and homages but also managed to keep me thoroughly engaged with its clever and relatable humor. If you're in the mood for a hilarious and entertaining ride that pays homage to the geek culture, "Joy Ride" is the perfect movie to watch. It had me laughing all the way through and left me with a big smile on my face.

The Professor (I) (2018)
9/10
Jhonny Depp gets to show his talent again after such a long time
28 May 2019
The professor is a movie released in 2018 starring Jhonny Depp and Zoey Deusch. It is a dark, funny yet a serious take on life, where the character of Richard faces the ultimate truth of life and Jhonny Depp has very successfully portrayed that and made us think of facing such odds ourselves.

The movie begins with Richard receiving the news of his terminal illness. He tries to tell his family but fails to due to the harrowing relationship dynamics between the family members. He only successfully tells his closest friend and makes him promise not to disclose the information to anyone. His new position in life makes him change his approach in teaching and in the process begins to really see how youngsters perceive it. He also changes his way of living and vows on living to the fullest while still being as good a parent he can to his daughter.

The best thing about this film is that we get to see Jhonny Depp taking on a role after so long where he can really pour his talent and he does so beautifully, the tone, despite of being a serious film is light and has some really funny moments. However, the end kind of rushes in comparison to the rest of the film yet not ruining the film completely.

Overall, I really enjoyed the film, the acting, music, plot and the pace were all really good. I definitely recommend watching this film.

Better than expected
14 December 2018
Literally better than expected. I only expected kevin Hart to be high pitched and screaming and Hadish to be sarcastic; that's it. But this was an actually an entertaining movie with emotional bits with truly addressing a problem that most people make fun of. I liked it and recommend it.

Can't get better than this
22 November 2018
I don't usually like zombie movies. I find them mistly funny which is why izombie is in my toplist. This movie however contained everything and was the best partymix possible, i think, for moviegoers with the inclusion of zombies. Well done creators.

Incredibles 2 (2018)

A bigger and better film
22 November 2018
I think the idea of not making a film unless they knew it was better than the 1st one perfect. I am a 1st gen fan. Expected nothing out of this, even avoided trailers out of fear that my fond memories of the incredibles would be ruined. I was truly amazed and loved how everything is even better in this one: the plot, the animation, the storyboad, you name it. I am a biggèr fan of this than 1 now. Brilliantly done. Bravo

Did not keep up with its beginning.
27 June 2017
I started watching this movie with no expectation. But then Eric Bana displays awesome acting skills at the very beginning while Jube law astonishes you with his ability to surprise you still. First 5 minutes into the movie, I was excited to see what happens next. Then Charlie hunnam enters and ruins it. I had no idea one actors lack of skills could take down an entire movie like this. He fails to make you believe that he isn't trying to pretend to belong to Camelot. He fails to show any emotion, any acting skill and basically renders every scene he is in-boring. By the end of the movie I thought that this actor is the worst choice for this role and probably the reason for the sequels being canned. I have never seen any other Hunnam film and had no idea what kind of an actor he was. For the first 30s I actually thought he was Travis Fimmel; whom I think is a brilliant actor BTW. All in all I think the film and the series had great potential but choices choices...If i had known the amazing beginning of the film is the only part to watch. I would have watched it on YouTube. Ps. Jude law can be a bad-ass villain. Love his acting

stupid movie
27 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
dumbest movie ever. there were times i had to cover my eyes and struggled to not throw up. Isla fisher showed a shred of acting skill. the conjugal time of Baren Cohen and his wife was disgusting. the kids acted well and were very cute in portraying the story they did, touching; and is one of the 2 reasons I have given this a 4 2nd being that they made the elephant a part of the story line.

didn't feel like i got the worth of my money. additionally wasted almost 2 hours of my life that i am never gonna get back.

moral of the story, if you have a lot of time to waste and a lot of money or like stupid movies go and watch this; otherwise don't bother.
