Aliens remade?
23 March 2024
The more into the film the obvious the entire plot is a copycat of James Cameron's Aliens, right down to even the tiny details, if you replace aliens with werewolves. It has also a bit of Predator during the first half which is also a better part of the film. The ending is even a tribute to Alien and because it's all about dog, Jonesy is now also a dog, the last survivor together with soldier 'Ripley' Cooper. All and all in a way I admire the film, quite a triumph since it's not that easy to recycle the plot of such a classic, isn't it? Well if you already have popcorns and in the mood to flick out, then go for it!

Comparable to 'Parasite'... or even better
19 February 2021
I like it better than 'Parasite'. The film is a serious tease by never veering off the edge into what you would be imagining in your head while watching it.

Moving documentary
10 March 2020
The craft is precious but it is the human story that shines. I was deeply touched by the story of the Sung family. The star of the film is somehow Mrs Sung, the young girl, the wife, the mother and grandma. The film is a great tribute to the film festival 'Ambacht in Beeld' (Craftmanship in Picture) in Amsterdam. Amidst the corona spread, the theater still attracts a roomful.

One of the most moving act of cinema
11 September 2018
You remember the feeling you have at the end of Cinema Paradiso? This is it again but with a passage of time and history that so overwhelming and superbly told. The film editing is a masterpiece. Love lost and found, as moving and emotional as it could get, before you realize you are a true lover of the seventh art form.

Game of Thrones: Stormborn (2017)
Season 7, Episode 2
I fear for Arya and I hope I will be wrong, so wrong
25 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The second episode of GoT season 7 scares me. Arya, who is heading to King's Landing for Cersei has now turned around and headed north instead. Of course who on earth doesn't want to see her reuniting with her dear brother after 60 episodes? But isn't it such an ironic move of fate that Cersei will not be crossed off Arya's list while Ayra will probably won't get to see Jon ever again (knowing how sadistic GoT is) especially now Jon himself is leaving Winterfell. Like it's not enough, they let Arya reunite with her direworf in one of the most emotional scene ever between a human and an animal in the history of films. It's like that will probably be all the reunion we will ever get for Ayra and the North. I fear and I hope I will be wrong! It's just that 'all men must die' and 'the girl is' indeed just 'not ready'!

Has made the other official 'extra' story seem 'rogue'
20 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
ROGUE ONE, a Star Wars movie that is so good, it makes the official sequel last year felt so 'rogue'. This is the kind of 'extra' story I want to be told in that galaxy far far away, where here and there I see just a little enough of some of the familiar faces and yet compared to last year's effort which tried to bring back in so many people and things from the originals, failed to be half as connected and nostalgic. Consider just how much you have longed to see that light saber, you will feel enormously emotional to see it again right at the end. The landscapes of dozen of the planets in the movie tonight are breathtaking. Well done!

sorry to let you see me that way
3 February 2010
One of the interesting things is that now you will know something creepier about the black smoke. And I like how they dealt with Juliet. We heard they will cut her out of the show but at least they dealt with it elegantly. The matter of being cut out of this show doesn't make any sense as we all now agree that it's just the matter of time for you to come back. I hope I will see Juliet again soon. It felt great to feel the LA touchdown and how thing would happen if all of this had never happened. It was just so emotional to experience it, especially when the whole show has become part of your memory. YOu feel like you were one of them. I felt home when sitting down watching the show. Something is still really wrong ahead and that's how you just can't wait to see What Kate Does soon.

I love the actors. They are just so good.
