Isabella: O Caso Nardoni (2023)
Listen to what they say
I thought this was a well done documentary, and I also watched the interviews that were shown in the documentary in full. Not saying they did or did not, but I always notice linguistics. Just in the middle of this documentary, the reporter asks the mother how she's dealing with it. As a mother, I don't think I'd be able to deal with it, and I certainly wouldn't be talking about myself. In my opinion, that's how you can always tell when people that are accused of crimes like this tend to talk about how it's affecting them rather than the death of their loved one which I noticed was mussing throughout this entire documentary. And again, I'm only speaking from this version of documentary there was very little talk about Isabella herself. I never heard the parents mention her name, I saw No remorse from the parents who also never mentioned her or her name. That's a giant red flag.
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: For the Love of Money (2024)
Bishop Mans...another pretender!
This man makes me so angry. Instead of helping in any situation here, he manages to only further the turmoil with his rhetoric that "God is in control." Never trust a fundamentalist! I guess he forgot the part about free will! If he was true to his faith, he would let her lead and provide advice when asked. However, it feels like he's trying "upstage" the documentary by contributing/heightening the drama that already exists here. This is about Natalia but he doesn't seem to get that and riles up the conversation to where the previous father just gets overwhelmed. THIS IS A NON CHRISTIAN ACT! Let the guy say a curse word if he feels he needs to bc he's supposed to be expressing himself! He like to many in her life are there to further their own agenda! He runs a ministry so this doc is his commercial for that. Yet another pretender in this poor girls life, using her to further himself. He needed to shut up and let her run the show as she is an adult now! Could not stand him. Narcissist trying to make a name for himself! A true hero would just be there for her...period! Not make the situation worse!
Natalia, your current Dad, is NOT helping. We all know Michael is weak, that is no excuse for your current father to inesert himself with such force as to help Michael run! You may have gotten more from that if it weren't for your current Dad who immediately comes off as combative with something to prove. HE's NOT a part of that story with Michael and you are an adult. He should have stayed out of it. A few curse words aren't worth finding truth and/or closure for you. This is about you! Not him. He made this about him! I'm so sad that you have yet another person in your life with a clear agenda that is only in it for himself. God may be in control but "Dad" seemingly forgets that he also gave us free will. This is your journey not his or his ministry!
The Crown: Ruritania (2023)
The monarchy trying to open up
I really enjoyed this episode! Imelda Staunton playing the queen really shines here. We see in the beginning of the episode, how incredibly knowledgeable and quick witted she was. There's experience here shown that cannot be taught. There's an incredibly strong woman with history that goes far beyond Toni Blair however, that being said this episode shows a queen in her older years showing a little bit of vulnerability to a Prime Minister, that was more popular than she. I love this actress as a relates to the micro facial expressions. My very most favorite is when Tony Blair says "do you mean if I were king." Anyone watching this episode should rewind the look that she gives after he says that there's so much going on there, but I love the micro-expression which clearly shows distain regarding his question. Like how dare he say that to her in plain words. And then again, her vulnerability and replying a simple "yes," which is clearly difficult for her. It was so poignant as a relates to just about everything going on in the world at that time.
Reacher: Pie (2022)
Just this episode stabbing scene
I really do like this show. I started to watch it a year ago and put it away because I didn't really like the acting but I'm hoping to see something better. And so far I have seen that. It is frustrating though to watch Jack reacher, put a knife in someone's back, then push it up so they can't speak, then, in the very next scene, which I'm looking at with my eyes doesn't have a drop of blood on the hand that he used with that knife. Somebody in the spine, you're gonna get spewed, yet guy, in the very next split second scene has no blood on his hands... I mean seriously? At 24 minutes and seven seconds look at his hands he just stabbed a guy in the spine, pulled his knife up and out again and has not dropped a blood on his hands. Shame on you crew!
The Boys: Herogasm (2022)
ENTER Jensen Ackles!!
I've been watching Jensen Ackles, since he began his career. Surprisingly, not always on purpose however, he seemingly shows up and a lot of shows that I really like and of course Supernatural is a classic. But once again here he's perfect for the role! He's extremely talented as it relates to throwing so many different dimensions into one character. His ability to show a hero, with humor, humility and passion all the while never taking himself quite too seriously. So here I am watching another show with him making an appearance in the third season. What a lovely surprise and how well he pulls it off. No hard feelings to the rest of the cast I think they're all brilliant, this was just one of so many surprises where he does so well!!
Take Care of Maya (2023)
As an FL. Native
I wish I could say I'm shocked! But I listen to so many of these cases the DCF and/or CPS, this state misses the most detrimental cases while prosecuting the innocent! It's so bizarre when you here of children so clearly abused while reported by teachers/ or other students that are so ignored. Here is a family just trying help their daughter. As a mom I would do whatever it takes to not see my little girl in pain. I feel like this mother, being an immigrant just didn't or could not understand this country regarding why they do what they do. I imagine I would feel the same way! I only wish that all the times she told her daughter to be strong...she should have done the same.
SmartLess: On the Road: Tuxedos and Cool Sunglasses (2023)
ITS NOT THE PODCAST
Ignore the reviews that you read regarding opinions as it relates to the podcast. This is not a podcast. This is a tour! Do not give it lower less stars simply because "it's not as good as the podcast." You cannot compare them just as you cannot compare apples to oranges. Rate this for what it is. I love these three men all so very funny and entertaining. It was fun and hilarious this kind of "dead pan" comedy they all share. I have not listened to the podcast, but I will after I watch this tour. You have to take this for what it is without bias as I did regardless of where it originated. It's excellent on its own.
Documentary Now!: Waiting for the Artist (2019)
Lighten Up
First of all Cate Blanchett, as always is perfect. I've seen the original documentary and I've seen this. I was able to enjoy the documentary and still find this funny. Those that take themselves too seriously will give this one star and say how terrible and and disrespectful this is to the real artist. This is not true. It's called a sense of humor, it's called satire, and there are four seasons of this show because apparently many people find it funny.
If you don't understand satire then of course you will think this is disrespectful to the real artist but it's not. This episode is poking fun at all kinds of different artists that are all weird in their own way. Just like Spinal Tap basically satires all hard rock bands. It's the same thing. Ever seen SNL? Same thing. So if you have deep feelings for the real artist and/or cannot take a joke, I would suggest that you skip this episode.
Paranormal Cops (2009)
"Did you hear that?" NO!!!
First of all I won hundred percent agree with one of the reviews on here that says please drop the background music it's ridiculous. If you want to take us on this journey with you we want to hear what you're hearing. And at least every episode there are three instances where someone says did you hear that and I rewind it and I'm like no I don't hear it. And on top of that they have music playing in the background during this supposed noise. A perfect example of this is episode three about 7 1/2 minutes until the end of the episode one guy says "did you hear that," And the other guy says "oh yeah I heard that." They both seem so astonished at how loud it was and they talk about it I rewound it twice I did not hear anything except for the ridiculous background music why on earth would you make a show like this get excited about hearing sounds and not share it with the viewer this is useless. Not only do you not take the audience on this ride with you you make them skeptical to even believe what you're hearing because we can't hear it. Whoever decided that there should be this background music and these stupid whispers should be fired just make this a regular paranormal show that actually proves what it is set out to do. Why are you guys not walking around with some really good microphones so that the viewer can hear it to. The only thing I can think of is that it's BS.
Glitch (2015)
Where are all the people!
Finished season 2 and so far, it pretty good. There is thing that's really bothering me is the lack of people EVERY time they're in town. It's so blatant when they show them walking towards a bar, and never are there cars driving or parked, there's also NO PEOPLE. I wonder how the people inside got there....
Van Helsing: Black Days (2018)
I command you???
WHAT??? If a monster was going towards my mother, why on earth would I say "no...I command you." NO ONE TALKS THAT WAY!! I was shocked when she said that then wondered why the vampire listened. So ridiculous. Who wrote this script???
Signs (2002)
I don't get haters!
These kids surely rule this movie backed up by 2 amazing actors in their own right! These 4 characters drive the story and take your heart with them. I'm a HUGE syfy fan and this a a pleasant surprise as it's a step sideways from what I usually love, and I've seen it all! Alien invasion thru the eyes of one family. The plot was not forced, including the humor which usually is in scary movies. It's really good! Don't listen to the bad reviews! They clearly judged this on the actual syfy only! Many of these reviewers don't get the brilliance of this! It's an excellent movie! Never mind the arm chair syfy reviews that feel they must compare this to all of Shyamalan's other work.
The Hangover Part II (2011)
I don't understand some of these reviews...
I keep saying over and over people writing things with phrases like "rehashing old material." Seriously, what is wrong with these people? It's a comedy it's not a drama there's not gonna be a major plot twist or Oscar worthy acting! It's a silly comedy. And this one is really funny. So all of the armchair critics out there need to chill out and lighten the F up. Movies like this are not meant to be so highly critiqued, they're just supposed to be fun...
Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Baptism (2001)
This one was a bit annoying...
I get that it's not about the details but there was way too many discrepancies in this episode that really got on my nerves. Absolutely nothing they did at the airport is how it actually works. They could not get through security without a ticket. So if someone stole them they too could not get through security because their identification would not match what's on the ticket. They would've have to of have their tickets re-printed at the counter before they go through security easy Peezy. And it would have only taken a moment when they're at the gate for the girl to look up their tickets and find what seats they were assigned too and have an attendant check those seats! At that time AGAIN the attendant could ask for their drivers license which again would not match the name on the ticket. In the most interesting part of this is that this episode takes place after 9/11 meaning security would have been super jacked up. None of it jives! Annoying.
Parks and Recreation: Leslie and Ron (2015)
Where are the triplets???
Of course I don't expect the triplets to be an y part of the show however this episode just annoys me. These two have three babies at home yet they seem to have all the time in the world to hang out in City Hall early evening chitchatting. They never speak of a nanny, which I doubt one would do for three babies. They each work all day and still have time to chitchat on the bench in the hallway during early evening hours. In the past four episodes of the season and neither of them seem to be in a rush to get home we never see them taking care of any babies. Even when they're shown at home they're just chilling on the couch I mean come on this is so unbelievably ridiculous! I also love how they're never tired and in this episode Ben is going to stay in his office all night if he has to well Leslie and Ron are supposed to be making up? Oh right and Leslie is the mother so she'll be staying there too... Again no reference to the babies. It's hard enough to raise one child with two parents working full-time it's a whole other ball game when you've got triplets that according to these past four episodes seem to just take care of themselves. Particularly in this episode one cannot even argue that someone from the team is babysitting Considering they are all at City Hall.
I just think it's a little bit irresponsible to portray this married working couple that not only go through the major life change of starting a family but having triplets yet these past few episodes show no change in their lives whatsoever. I imagine anyone watching this show that has had at least one child would get annoyed by this point at all the time these two seem to have away from home.
Enlighten Us (2016)
What was Netflix thinking?
Don't waste your time! This felt more like a promotion for this guy's comeback. I agree with the other viewer that no interesting and/or difficult questions asked of him. His entire spiel through this documentary is about him helping people yet the very moment his people needed his help the most he casually walks back to his own quarters and takes a shower, call the lawyer and leaves them behind. What an absolute coward! People were laid on the ground dying and all he cared about was covering his ass pathetic. These questions are never raised in the documentary. It's all about his trials and tribulations after spending a meteor two years in jail meanwhile nothing is mentioned really of the his victims and their families.
The Assets (2014)
Shifty Rick
I can't understand the good reviews for this show. I agreed with most reviewed it honestly. I had to laugh at the person that gave it 5 stars noting a geographical error. Is that really the reason you gave it a 5? That is like people that leave negative reviews for a product on Amazon that was received broken during shipment. That is not an actual evaluation of the product!
I agree completely with the viewer that wrote "If Lifetime got a hold of an AMC script." But even the script is badly written. I didn't find any of the actors to be believable in any way. I don't buy that Rick even got into the CIA to begin with, my God he's so transparent and shifty it's like a farce of some sort. And why the heck would his girlfriend be SO EXTREMELY upset when he confesses that he doesn't work at the state department that he is actually CIA? Seriously? HE IS SUPPOSED TO LIE TO YOU...IT'S KIND OF HIS JOB! It's like she has no concept of national security which is not believable when she herself works at an embassy. I am interested to know just how historically accurate this show is considering how amateurish these CIA agents seem to be. The intensity of invasive vetting, background checks, physical and mental examination then continues through employment should have weeded people like Rick out. In fact aside from the president, the CIA has the most intense hiring process in America.
Also, Grimes home life felt forced with the rebellious teen and the understanding and supportive husband. Her husband is so syrupy sweet I could barely stand it and do we believe that at this point in their marriage she even has to keep saying "You know I can't tell you that."
Scorpion (2014)
I wanted to like this show...
I did watch most of the first season then waited to see if it would be renewed. I read many of the reviews and I agree the technical aspect of this show needs a great deal of help. I have to wonder who it is they are consulting along with their coordinating IQ. I think what adds to this annoyance for most of these reviewers is the fact that the show does indeed treat the viewer as though we are mindless idiots. Walter is just plain unlikable! His arrogance is so over the top. These other characters are so stereotyped. The heavy set overly awkward math nerd. The female mechanic bad ass with a huge chip on her shoulder and daddy issues so on and so forth because we have all seen these characters before. It does seem like the creators/writers/tech consultants think we the viewer are really stupid. It just sucks that the characters are so unlikable on top of it.
Mr. Robot (2015)
Unbelievable Critics on Here!
I cannot believe some of the bad reviews I have read on here. What are you people thinking? I have to question what, if any television show do these people deem worthy. Everyone wants to compare it to The Matrix or Dexter or Fight club. It is it's own entity. We can easily trace The Matrix from Equilibrium and so on and so forth but regardless this is good TV. Do not read reviews from people that cannot make it through one episode. There are turns and twists here. Give something a chance before you rip it up. In a time when mindless reality television is ruling the airways, here is something that is not only thought provoking but relevant and entertaining. That is hard to come by these days. Sure it takes from this and that...BUT SO DOES EVERYTHING CREATIVE! This is one of the best things I have seen on TV in a while. I would like to know from those who gave this bad reviews? Just what are you watching that is good right now? If this is so bad, what exactly do you find good?
Reign (2013)
This is not even enough to be called historical fiction
For all of you out there that think this is has any historical accuracy to this, you are fools. They could have just called this show a fictional name because it has nothing at all to do with history. I don't mind the updated costumes and contemporary music but my God when the one guy tells Louie that Queen Elizabeth I accepted his hand in marriage, I about fainted! The Virgin Queen NEVER accepted marriage proposals ever! That is common knowledge! We have a state named after her for the love of God...Virginia? I'm okay with artistic liberties but this takes history and drags it through the mud. It should be called as generic name as the story line! What are you thinking CW? Really Queen Elizabeth getting married? That is just disrespectful! This is just plain Fiction!
