Sorvino and Matlin Should Be Ashamed of Themselves
I thought to watch this movie based upon the reputation of some of the actors, but it is one of the stupidest movies, filled with the stupidest characters, that I have ever seen. In fact, it was so stupid that I felt compelled to write a review. There were so many squandered opportunities to get this guy before he blew up the house that it was downright pathetic, and you end up having zero sympathy for the people whom you are supposed to be rooting for. Why otherwise good actors - at least I once thought they were good actors - would waste their time embarrassing themselves is beyond me.
Bailout: The Age of Greed (2013)
A Perfect Movie
I have never before submitted a review here, but after reading these reviews, and seeing that this film had only 6 stars out of a possible 10, I felt rather compelled to write something. First of all, I want to say that this movie is extremely accurate in its portrayal of the collapse of the American system. The characters are completely believable as a result, and it is very refreshing to see a group of actors who look like every day people instead of the usual Hollywood types. I almost did not watch this movie after reading the reviews here and.looking at the DVD cover. This is something much more than the typical vigilante fare, and for those who are well-informed concerning the way out country's financial system works and the corruption that exists...you will find many a "YES!" moment in this film that has the guts to tell it like it is. The screenplay is taut and lean, and I could not find one single flaw in this gem.
