Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)
Really bad
I recently watched this movie after not seeing it since the original release in theaters. This is really bad. The only sequel on its level is Death Wish III. Bad plot, bad acting, bad all the way throughout. USC's film school should show this as a great, bad example of film making. Obviously it was just a studio money grab on a popular genre. I gave it one star because you have to select something.
The Invisible Man (2020)
It isn't quiet Hitchcock, but it was still good entertainment
I am sometimes amused by overly critical reviews, as if it earns you some kind of intellectual trophy. The general point of the movies is entertainment. This movie is entertaining, not perfect, but still entertaining. Many remakes of this H.G. Wells Story vary little. This version is updated with new technology possibilities. My whole family enjoyed it.
The Haunted Mansion (2003)
If you like the ride, you will like this movie.
This is one of the first, Disneyland ride to movie projects. The more you are familiar with the ride, the more you will appreciate this movie. From singing statue busts to haunted attic, it's all here.
Many give this movie poor ratings, this is not supposed to be a slasher or intense horror. Take it for what it is intended to be, a light hearted, Disney inspired adventure.
The Lone Ranger (2013)
Ignore the critics and see it!
Judge it for yourself. This movie was a lot of fun. It has the same feel as the "Pirates" movies that made this team famous. The group-think from the critics should not stop you from enjoying this film, especially if you are a "Pirates" or Johnny Depp fan. My entire family was entertained.
The plot has a few twists in it, the good guys and bad guys are not so obvious.
When I first looked into the reviews on the movie, I noticed that 73 percent of the people said they liked the movie. I don't know about you, but that is why I go to the movies.
