Shattered (2022)
Words fail me
Words fail me as they did the "actors" in the cardboard cut out movie; I expected Paddington to appear as the only 3 dimensional character on the screen.
Wooden acting, predictable plot line and the promise of something better given that JM was listed, just left me disgusted with myself for selecting this to view tonight.
The one star is given as zero is not allowed but to be fair it deserves it for only being 93 minutes long; makes you appreciate how precious life is!
Please don't waste a moment on this purgatory - clean out your gutters, clean the dog's teeth, clean out the litter tray - all far more rewarding.
Underbelly Files: Chopper (2018)
Underbelly at its finest
I was hooked from the opening credits and the familiar lyric 'it's a jungle out there'.
An absolute gem.
Characters from previous instalments of the Underbelly series' appear and bring their own iconic egos to the screen and credibility to the tale.
The acting is natural and understated, with Chopper having an air of Christian Bale about him. The feel of the film is very Australian cinema.
There were moments where I winced - blow torch to the feet, ears about to be sliced... and moments where I laughed out loud; most notably when Chopper is watching 'Chopper' at the cinema.
If you are an Underbelly fan then this is a must. If you haven't seen any, here is as good a place to start.
