Tries to win by being diverse and fails

Feels like it was directed by a teenager. The story is just wrong in so many ways. It really feels like it was created merely to be diverse and nothing else. Where's the entertainment? Where's the realism? Where's the acting? How come Netflix paid for this trash? In trying to be diverse (falsely), it actually harms diversity. Avoid!

Time Trap (2017)

It blew my mind

I've seen a lot of 1 star ratings, but really... Just watch it! I watched it on Netflix as something to do. I don't get chance to watch many movies, but I just love Sci-Fi. Typically, Sci-Fi movies are predictable, but this one was something else. For a low budget movie, it really pushed my brain into a lot of "what if?"'s. I was incredibly impressed. The acting was sufficient for a movie of this budget, and the effects were "just enough" and totally believable. Nothing was overdone. Nothing was underdone. It was, somehow, just right.

My take from the reviews of this movie is that too many people are after the next Marvel offering. No one simply wants a decent story that makes you think. This movie is the latter. It might not hold you on the edge of your seat, but you will stop and ponder it after the movie has ended. The fact that it's an original, yet simple idea is even more impressive.

Europa Report (2013)

Not a Sci-fi blockbuster, but a good story

I think the bad reviews here are missing the point of this movie. I don't think anyone ever expected it to be comparable to films like Aliens or 2001, as there clearly wasn't a big budget for the film. That said, however, I feel the plot was believable and entertaining, and I'd rather watch Europa Report than, say, AVPR. Each death in the film was caused by something imaginable and the pace of the film was enough to keep me engrossed 'til the end. Yes, this isn't a cinema flick, but was it poor? Absolutely not. This is good storytelling and a movie I would enjoy on a quiet night in. No one ever said a big budget was necessary to make an enjoyable film, and this film proves it.
