Overwhelmingly brilliant...
27 October 2014
The culmination of SFX, CGI, Props, Makeup, Costumes, Soundtrack, Casting and Marvel storyline with a very good dose of humor thrown in, make this unique new film an absolute masterpiece, over and above anything remotely similar thus far.

The unrivaled beauty of Zoe Saldana, whom I was mesmerized by in Columbiana, simply shines in this role, what an asset to any production. A star studded cast provides a secure balance to the entertainment, with acting you've come to expect from a handful of the very best in the business.

If you love Sci Fi, adore the seemingly endless array of futuristic gadgets, weapons and beings, while firmly grasping a reality check with retro objects such as the ever prominent 'walkman' then this film will not disappoint.

Another highlight is definitely the soundtrack, whereby a multitude of well known songs are used in, some a little odd at first, though they do grow on you and are totally fitting.

If I could, I'd rate this 11 out of 10, enjoy...

Left Further Behind Than Most
23 October 2014
It's such a let down, when as an avid Nick Cage fan I decide to see a movie with him as the headliner (obviously the only selling point) resulting in being absolutely mortified by every minute of Left Behind.

Left Behind, will be left behind, there's no doubt. If you're one with the big man upstairs, if you agree with his mysterious ways, if you think for a second that he actually exists and controls the horrors of natural disaster and in this flick ethnic cleansing, then hands down it's going to be a favorite to the bible basher.

What a disappointment, a waste of money and more so a terrible addition to Nick Cage's impressive history within the movie industry, the one out of ten is for Nick and Nick alone, the rest, storyline, acting, if you can call it that, pitiful...

Camp X-Ray (2014)
10/10
Guantanamo Bay
18 October 2014
With all the detractors of Kristen Stewart re: the Twilight saga, it's fair to say that they can now eat her shorts. Camp X ray highlights the fact that sometimes, people are wrongfully imprisoned or detained, that what may be deemed as a threat to national security by the policy makers and the flow on effect of orders in that respect, can possibly be askew.

Connecting with another person on any level, in any scenario, as a result of any reason or no reason at all, is what life is about. Although this film is the work of multiple talented entertainment artists, and the story, they're interpretation of what life may be like at Guantanamo Bay for it's detainees, there's a powerful message, a range of kindness and emotion, uplifting and educating to the end.

Kristen Stewart, simply amazing...

The Salvation (2014)
10/10
If you're not keen on Westerns, this is a must see...
18 October 2014
I've never really been a fan of Western genre films, though I do watch them, as it is paramount to view everything in order to review. The Salvation delivers on every account, an action packed storyline encompassing a range of emotion, from a sensational cast.

Director Kristian Levring brings to fruition the Western life experience in a fashion that keeps you intrigued and hopeful of a sequel or certainly another film just as brilliant, if not better. Mads Mikkelsen is nothing short of magical in the lead role, sporting a demeanor reminiscent of all time Western greats.

Eva Green (my personal favorite) exudes a perfect beauty in her mute role as Madelaine, without question one of the most stunning women on this planet, mesmerizing eyes and expressions which convey a story within her character, albeit a troubled past.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan delivers as the villain as best anyone could and there are other familiar faces such as Douglas Henshall and Jonathan Pryce, both impressive seasoned actors.

Overall, it's really 11 out of 10, enjoy...

CIA vs CIA vs Russia
17 October 2014
Loved this movie, Pierce Brosnan always the legend and a top performer when it comes to action packed espionage based films, no doubt stemming from his experience as the unforgettable James Bond 007.

Olga Kurylenko is ever beautiful with a homegrown appeal for films shot within the motherland, no amount of time seems to diminish her unique appearance or acting style complimenting films of this genre.

Great filming locations, impressive maneuvers, all twisted around the framework of the CIA deception, of not only people, organizations or countries of interest, but also within its own ranks, a movie about trust, of in some cases the lack of...
