Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
Fun to see the original cast,...
Wish that it just would have been about them. But that is where the good ends. For example, I got really irritated at that the CGI person had obviously never seen even a snowflake. The plane crashes into the dam and we can see that the icesheet are at least 20 cm thick. We can also see that the ice is transparant, which tells me that it's congelation ice. You can drive a car on that, but hey, the characters perhaps weigh a couple of tons?
They also try to fill out the movie with fights, not with any kind of story. Maybe it's time for the Jurassic Park franchise to become extinct itself?
Please, please, please, don't make anymore.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022)
Only 10 episodes?
Finally a series that are Star Trek and you only give us 10 episodes? Scrap the other franchises and put your money into this one.
If you stop this one in favour of Discovery (what a snooze pill) I will cry.
The Gilded Age (2022)
It did not get better
I forced myself to finish the first season in hopes that it would improve and that the characters would grow and become interesting. But no, as usual, Hollywood makes pale copies and think that by just throwing together a bunch of good looking people, it will be a hit. A few of them can act, but there are zero chemistry between them.
At the end of the series, I don't even know what a single one of the staffs name is and let alone anything about them.
Bigger are rarely better.
Knutby (2021)
I live in the area where this happened....
And I must say that I'm impressed, they nailed it. The cult is now long gone from here, but you would run into it's members regularly at the local grocery store, but they mostly kept to themselves. The cult was really big at the time, their around 90 members made out 1/6 of the villagers. Now, only a handful still lives here and thankfully, it's the saner ones.
The pastor was released from prison a few months ago, and now lives in a halfway house.
The Little Mermaid (2018)
Painfully bad!
Don't waste a second on this one, as you will never get that time back. It's pure crap, I really don't have anything good to say about it.
Madonna: Ghosttown (2015)
Why is this not a series?
This is better than anything out of hollywood. Plain awesome!
Baywatch (2017)
Worse than After Earth?
What the hell went wrong? I remember the old series and even if it wasn't exactly high quality TV, compared to this it was Oscar material. The women in this film are there to show of their boobs, the writer and the director seem to be oblivious to the fact that we have heads on top of our bodies. One man in this film are so taken by all these boobs that he end up in strange situations, why do the director want to give fire to the old (very old) belief that men are victims to their urges and can't control themselves? Really? And this in 2017? What will be the next project? A movie about a rape where they blame it on the victims dress?
So, it is worse than After Earth? Yes. Both movies suck, but this one is sexist beyond belief. Spend your money on some corn seeds and watch them grow, that will definitely be more interesting.
Last Tango in Halifax (2012)
The best drama series I have ever seen
I completely fell in love with this series. This was real people with faults and skeletons in the closet just like the rest of us, not that perfect sugar coated s**t produced by "Hollywood" (Hey guys, we aren't all 20 years old throughout life, beautiful and wakes up with perfect makeup everyday). The writers really thought things through. Every time the storyline takes a twist it either seems like it will be the end of the world or as it is the best thing to ever happen, but then the negative sides start to appear in the perfect facade or new possibilities emerge from the devastating news. Because that is what happens in real life. I'm looking forward to season 4, and I am hoping that there will be a lot more of them.
