Resident Evil: Welcome to New Raccoon City (2022)
Started out good then it fizzled
So it starts out with action and zombies and it's pretty exciting, the young lady that's working with some cure or something with the zombies is keeping our interests. A huge worm like creature appears and that was exciting as she's running for her life, good stuff! Then it changes to scene to Lance Reddick driving I think are his two daughters to a new home. Lance is fantastic but unfortunately he couldn't save this poor film. The two entitled teenagers almost made me turn it off, just what I wanted to see, a entitled rich girl complaining about living in in utter luxury. There is not one thing to like about this episode that stood out to make it memorable. I feel really bad that Lance Reddick got involved in this, he's way too good to be involved in this flop. With that being said Lance was one of my favorite actors, I was so broken up when I heard he had passed so suddenly at such a young age. Love ya Lance.
Tulsa King (2022)
What fun to watch!!
I've been a fan of Sylvester Stallone since Rocky and I think this performance was one of his very best! This series demonstrated Sylvester's excellent acting skills and frankly completely it completely wowed me! The story line was full of twists and turns and I was completely engaged and stuck to the screen throughout all eight episodes. When it ended I was left wanting more of the same. Unfortunately we will have to wait until late 2023 for the second season. The support cast was also excellent, constant action which kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the 8 episodes. At 76 Sylvester is going strong, I'm going to go back now and watch his previous films but this series was a definite treat!!
Perry Mason (1957)
Best show of all time!!!
Words cannot describe how much I love the Perry Mason show. The cast was the best ever to exist. Mason, Street and Drake were more than a team, they were a close family that kept us entertained for years and years. I still can't get enough of Perry Mason and Raymond Burr, in my mind, one of the top ten actors of all time. As I watch the old original series I find myself enthralled with the acting skills and the union these people had together. When I'm on my last legs I'll have my nurse playing Perry Mason for me as I drift away to the next world.
Bosch: Legacy (2022)
Wow!! Their back and it fabulous!!
I could not have asked for more. Bosch is better than ever, his acting is superb as are all the supporting cast, I could not have asked for more. Cameo appearance from the previous cast was a real treat, honestly, I can't get enough of this show. I inhale each episode and am back wanting more. I won't ask for much, 7 more seasons would be wonderful!!
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Chess made fascinating
I was skeptical about watching this movie, I'm a action, adventure movie kind a guy but wow wow wow. From the first episode I was glued to the screen. The movie kept my interest from beginning to the end and as it progressed it just got better and better as the characters developed, you could anticipate the end but getting there was a rollercoaster. I've told all my friends about this movie and they all thanked me for suggesting it. Anya Taylor-Joy and Chloe Pirrie made this movie fantastic but the supporting cast is why I gave it a 10. I was so surprised to see an amazing performance by Harry Melling, yes, the Harry Melling that played the obnoxious, over weight cousin of Harry Potter. What an amazing transformation!! Harry is thin now and a really great actor, I was shocked and so pleased to see him transform himself, it gives you hope seeing Harry's performance. Whom ever did the casting gets huge kudos, it's rare that I absolutely rave about a series but this is by far the best I've ever seen in my life time and I was born at the birth of the color TV. This movie is a must watch.
Remember (2015)
Great acting, terrible plot.
Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau are great actors, that's the best I can say about this film. They plot was about an old man with vengeance to kill Germans from the concentration camps. Oh my GOD!! This plot has been run and rerun and rerun and rerun, ENOUGH is ENOUGH!! What happened was terrible but for Christ's sake let it rest!! World War II ended over 70 years ago. What happened to the Jewish people was horrific and unforgivable. SIXTY MILLION people died in world war II, six million of those were Jews. The movie shows an old many murdering people and not really even sure they are guilty because he's not of sound mind or body. I hated the film and would definitely not recommend children be present when it's playing. I can't think of one positive thing to say about it.
S.S. Doomtrooper (2006)
Action packed, well acted, sci-fi and WWII, it doesn't get any better!!
I watched SS Doomtroopers twice (so far) and have totally enjoyed it. I thought it was very well cast and I've recently become quite of fan of Corin Nemec. Ben Cross did a great job and I think we'll be seeing more of James Pomichter who played Parker Lewis. I wish this would have become a regular Sci-Fi program on the Sci-fi channel but with killing off the brunt of the characters I guess that's not going to be possible. I hope Corin's career continues to escalate. I also enjoyed the character, Digger. He did a great job and fortunately one of the men lived! The plot was quite interesting and the special effects were well done. I hope the Sci-Fi channel continues to star Corin Nemec, he's a great actor.'
