Unforgettable for those who have seen it - Though a victim of poor marketing
23 August 2022
I feel compelled to write a review for this film as I've seen Hamish Linklater In a few films now, and he is absolutely fantastic. The show is worth watching for his performance alone, as well as Samantha Sloyan. I haven't seen her in anything *noteworthy* since Queen of the Damned and it is DAMN time she get some good script and screentime. This series has all the elements such as drama, mystery and horror, but with a fairly melancholy feel to it. I wish series like this could be shown on the big screen with huge marketing campaigns. I miss that side of film culture. I would have paid big money to see this in theaters.

Big Cats are not for our entertainment.

I live in an area with many Joes. Men who get off on the power exchange between man and beast. Also while profiting off of it. Thats all I have to say about this documentary. Big cat captivity for entertainment and profit is wrong.

Love Is Blind (2020– )

Cognitive dissonance

Warning: Spoilers
Love is blind, but the producers aren't. This is clearly fully orchestrated for our entertainment, HOWEVER, it does have some redeeming qualities. A lot of these people come off as shallow because that is the life they have lived. But I have seen a few characters come out of their shell, and I have to say I really empathized with Amber when she talked about her abortion. I am pro life, and I could tell how much it hurt her to talk about. There are some genuine moments on this show. If you can get through the absolute cringe in the first episode, I think you'll be good to enjoy this.

It's like looking at love through a window.

So, this will be my first official review on IMBD. I believe it's warranted because I have absolutely fallen in love with this show. The writing, the characters, the emotion..everything just feels on par and real. I'm really not much of a TV watcher. This show though, and specifically the relationship between Jack and Kate, reminds me so much of my own relationship and it's just a reminder of how much I love and appreciate the amazing man that I have. This show will make you feel things. I really can't say it any better than that. Leave all of your politics and judgement at the door, and give this a chance.
