Les misérables (2019)
Great Movie but.....
It does not tell us anything new. La Haine is very similar but way better, as it was the first movie and is original so to say.
Technically Les misérables is great. Actors are "believable" and also great. Les misérables misses unique things/story, to make it outstanding.
Nearly the whole message from film, can be reduced to the fantastic music video from Justice - Stress.
Google it, watch it and tell me i am wrong.
It is like "who sows the wind will reap storm".
The OA (2016)
8 of 10 stars for the first seven episodes, but the end....
how can somebody create such a ending??? I would gladly like to share the same experience with those people, who rated this series as a masterpiece, but sorry i simply cant. The end is such a bullshit, that it leaves me very disappointed. It leaves me so disappointed, that it remembers me strongly on the end of the LOST series. Of course the fanboys (and girls) here, could say i didn't understand a thing, but i disagree. I am just happy, that it only got 8 episodes, which is still a lot of wasted time, but comparing to LOST its somehow okay. The story had so much potential, but the end maked a big pile of garbage of it. The director did one of the biggest mistakes in cinematography: you can make a great story, but if the ending is bad, then the whole thing is bad and with bad i mean something, that makes you think "do they really take me for an idiot???". The last impression, is that one that counts and this series leaves a watcher slapped and pranked.
The Red Road (2014)
Sad its short... but still great series
I just wrote this review, to say that the two guys who rated this series is one star, are overreacting here in every way.
Those reviews are pure rubbish and their rating is in absolutely NO WAY fair to be honest. To give such a good series just one star, shows clearly the incompetence of those writers and that they have no clue about the good stuff, no matter what they say, its just not the truth.
It just make me think, those guys must be racists, so i would not bother with the crap they wrote.
I like the narrowing, the acting and I hope we can eventually see more, as it was rather a short series, but still a good one.
Battle in Seattle (2007)
one of the best films i have seen in years
this is one of the best films i have seen in years. as the theme of the movie should interest everyone in the world, it is a must to be televised around the globe. giving hope in a hopeless battle for humanity and against the globalization, this movie is perfect for anti-capitalism demonstrators. people who liked "Surplus: Terrorized Into Being Consumers" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368314/), will also like this film. the half-documentary style of the story suits very well and is wonderful told to the viewer. showing both sides of the protest, in a fairly amount, is one of the reasons, i loved this movie for. SPOILER so one of the best moments is, as the cop Dale (Woody Harrelson) is speaking with the prisoner Jay (Martin Henderson) and apologize for his actions. SPOILER END it would be nice to see much more movies like this from Hollywood. because this is something you will remember, maybe your whole life. FX and millions of dollars production-costs cannot replace such powerful messages, which will instantly be burned in your brain. a clever story, brilliant cast and a director who have balls of steel, make this one a masterpiece. cannot recommend enough, to watch this movie.
D-War (2007)
MUCH better than some Hollywood-blockbuster crap
I gave this movie 10 stars, just because so many people have given poor comments, on this all in all OK movie. its typical to hear from so many USA comments, that this movie is crap (in terms of story, plot and acting).... but if i would compare this movie with matrix revolution for example, than i would say, that THIS movie is a winner. my opinion is that its not fair to give this movie just one or two stars, its really not so bad at all. children likes this movie a lot, thats my experience and i like the stuff coming from Korea (like HOST, and i am not a korean :)).
i liked IMDb a lot, for useful information on movies, but people who bad-comment movies like this one, makes this place more and more questionable. its sad to say that, but its the truth. there are too many movies over and underrated here, in the last two years. so i cant rely on a rating given to a movie, even if i know that this is tasty choice, given up from users who saw the movie.
