It's been a while since a movie came along that was equal parts unique, audacious and full of conviction about skewering its satirical victim. Uproariously funny and chilling (sometimes at the same time). Fantastic writing and great performances from Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes, and Nicholas Hault. The stylistic flourishes that director Mark Mylod obviously aped from executive producer Adam McKay are used in hilariously fantastic ways. A pinch of The Big Short added with a heaping tablespoon of Succession, sprinkled with the laughably buffoonish rich folk characters from Don't Look up and Vice, and you have The Menu.
Also, this movie has possibly the best editing moment this year by far. You'll know it when you see it.
