War (2007)
that's not i was expecting.
i was having big expectations about this movie before i go but what i found was a slow rhythm and bad directing. As a big lover of jet li movies like "kiss of the dragon" and "the one" , i always desire to see jet li in his movies like action all the time , incredibly fast action scenes with martial art techniques. But in this movie , it looks like , the director just could not do it. all i saw was expensive cars, mafia members with team suits, huge houses. the director didn't even show most of the fighting scenes and the fighting scenes we had watched were quite far away from a proper action scene. the final battles were so short and without details.they were like the characters are not fighting because they need to talk and explain what brought them to that point.
to sum up, the movie is a bis disappointing for me , it made me thing that if you have jason statham and jet li in your movie, you must show us what they have got as merciless villidans... if you wanna see a nice action movie, don't go that one my advice.

Strong...
This film is clearly showing us the life of "the missing ones". In the middle of the poverty , ignorance and helplessness. One depressed effort against the death and trying to handle it with happiness.Maybe the only film of Ertem Egilmez (The builder of modern Turkish cinema),doesn't concern about the studio and ticket sales.
The movie contains outstanding performances of two very big Turkish actors (Tarik Akan and Halit Akçatepe) , also other very important actor and actresses in small roles such as Metin Akpinar,Kemal Sunal and Adile Naşit.
It is simply the peak of Turkish drama...
Bubble (2005)
Nice,nice,nice...
I've just seen this movie on Istanbul Film Festival. I think the film clearly shows how unbearable the life of American labour class is. The characters were waking up before sunrise and returning home just before sleeping and there were no time for their privacy and social life. Moreover , even with their heavy working conditions , they are not earning enough money to live easily. At one point , one tiny unimportant event provokes them and makes them to express what they really feel about their life , jobs and relations which is the main event of the movie... I think the movie is an aggressive and fair criticism about American labour life.
