Not Really For Space Fans
7 May 2022
Certainly not for fans of astronomy, science, physics or NASA. More like a soap opera wrapped in space related set design and a script sprinkled with space program words. I found myself fast forwarding through heavy dialogue scenes and still able to follow along easily-so there's plenty of filler. The acting isn't bad really, but when you see things like HD LED monitors in an Apollo spacecraft it kind of pulls you out it.

The Fight (I) (2020)

Powerful & Inspiring

I'm glad there was a documentary crew capturing these moments as they happened. I can only think that this should be a series (perhaps a sequel of "The Fight Continues"??!) because the onslaught of unjustness continues. It's inspiring to see people stand up to these legal systems and the executive branch; lending a voice to the powerless. Thank you ACLU for all you do and especially for everyone you do it for-we the people.

Tesla (I) (2020)

Very, very, very disappointing!
24 August 2020
Was this adapted from a play? LOT'S of green screen sets. This film really lost me 9min in when the narrator is shown on screen on a period set in period clothing using a laptop and a projector to display Google results comparing Tesla and Edison. Very disappointing to see an opportunity to bring Tesla's story to life and have it be anachronistic and extremely dull. Don't waste your money renting, wait till it's on a streaming service if you must.

Interesting but forced

I can only assume the creators thought they were revealing some huge controversy about cemeteries and what happens to them over time? ¯\_(; /)_/¯ The tone remained the same throughout, like a dark murder mystery documentary but without the payoff. Is it really that shocking cemeteries change over time and get built over? I guess it seems rather obvious and common to me so the idea I was supposed to be moved or bothered by it fell kind of flat. Don't get me wrong, it had some very interesting information about cemeteries and the death industry in general. But the way it was delivered was less matter of fact and more trying for shock value (without the value of shocking revelations). I think it would have been more effective if they had left out the dark mystery undertone and just focused on telling the story of each of the featured cemeteries. Less Ancient Aliens, more Ken Burns.
