The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
The Story goes South
Very loosely inspired by the source material. It's mostly Peter Jackson dragging the story out so that he could neuter the entire Lord of the Rings story by leaving out The Scouring of the Shire.
Let's make the ents say no, then reconsider. Let's randomly have a love story tangent so we can see Liv Tyler pout some more. Let's have Faramir be a carbon copy of Boramir and take Frodo back to Osgiliath. 30+ minutes of completely wasted time that kills the pacing all for Peter Jackson to prove, in the end, he didn't understand Tolkien's books.
Les misérables (2019)
The real France
As a former French resident I was pleased with how this film actually gives the audience the look and feel of life in France and it's cultural divide. Most of France's youth are not ethnically French but of Maghrébine & Subsaharienne decent. The beginning of the film shows France's unity in victory but life immediately goes back to normal.
I would rate it higher if it wasn't for the "what do you think happened ending".
Jack Ryan: French Connection (2018)
Lazy show runners
While in France all of the armed law enforcement have POLICE on their backs. In France police are essentially meter maids. They mostly write parking tickets and are not armed. The armed law enforcement are the Gendarmarie and are labeled as such.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019)
Keep watching before you post a review.
Most of the negative reviewers I see keep complaining about the history of Thra that is told in the first few minutes of the series. It's the history as the gelflings currently understand it. If these morons would just keep watching they'd see their issue resolved.
The first two episodes are a bit slow stick with it. It's good!
