Journey to Bethlehem (2023)
Another mockery of Christianity
The script is extremely regrettable. Everything transcendental, the substance of such a beautiful event, has been made ridiculous for the humor of the atheist, anti-Christian masses and even other religions. I can imagine if they did this with Islam... they would have serious problems for it. But since Christianity respects freedom of expression, nothing happens. A disgraceful film. At no time can other aspects such as photography, costumes or performances be considered, if the most important thing is infinitely far from what the Holy Christian Bible tells. A total nonsense. As a practicing Christian, I am very offended.
Tõde ja õigus (2019)
Nice packaging, ruined content
The framing, photography and music are very good, always in the right dose. All technical resources dance in remarkable harmony.
It is a slow film, but it works step by step on what it wants to communicate. Just as a treatment takes time to fulfill its purpose, so is this film. If the message it seeks to convey were to arrive suddenly, many would reject it. However, the extension and slowness are justified to go drop by drop until the pond is filled.
Another film that seeks, with feigned subtlety, to blame God for everything that human beings do wrong. While those who do wrong without speaking about God are accepted and even praised as clever or coherent.
Disappointing due to the initial beauty of the film, but predictable, knowing that Estonia is one of the most atheist countries in the world, a legacy of the communism prevailing in the USSR.
Why do people blame God for their bad thoughts, words, and deeds? It will continue to be the easiest of exits straight to the most lost of paths.
Perhaps Anton Hansen or Tanel Toom believe that blaming God for the evil that they or others do is the best, the same thought all the former heads of state of the USSR, whom they hate so much... touché.
Sound of Freedom (2023)
Robbie Ruud - Salvadoran Journalist
It has always been very difficult to receive films that touch on social problems. This was undoubtedly already a very necessary one, since very little is said about the main topic. A call to conscience that many have endeavored to disqualify and even mock, which resulted from common sense, very offensive. Thanks to Verástegui for delving into a problem that governments ignore for a variety of reasons. It is up to us to raise awareness about a scourge that no elite will speak up to combat, not even Hollywood. Based on true events, thanks for your testimony, Tim Ballard. Enormous. An excellent film.
Kuky se vrací (2010)
Very cute and entertaining
There are many children's movies with well-worn plots. "Kuky se vrací" is about how to be a hero in the middle of the most difficult situations. Kuky never gave up on every obstacle that came his way, and everything is resolved almost in a stoic or quite realistic way despite being a magical world in the forest. That's a great credit to the screenwriter, because there are no absurd twists from the sleeve. Kuky knew how to solve each moment of intensity and adventure in the best way. This film is to be seen in silence and without any distraction. If you see it with commercials in between, it will surely spoil your concentration. I love films about innocent characters, and Kuky will not disappoint you. Guaranteed. Regards from El Salvador.
