Knives Out (2019)
Really great movie!
This was like a breath of fresh air! Like Clue meets Agatha Christie. Every actor played their part perfectly, & thoroughly entertaining.
The Blacklist: Robert Vesco (No. 9) (2019)
A Hoot!!!
Of all the episodes I've ever seen of The Blacklist, this has been the funniest & lightest episode of them all!! Usually so serious & suspenseful, it was nice to have a break & have some laughs for a change. As always, James Spader was perfect. Never has such a character been as fascinating as Raymond Reddington!!
Years and Years: Episode 5 (2019)
Too close for Comfort of what the future will really look like
Honestly, I still haven't forgiven the writers of the last episode...it literally broke my heart. This week was nothing but brilliant. I've never been able to watch TV without multitasking, but you had it so I couldn't take my eyes away! Steven (with a "V") has never moved me so much that I could literally feel his feelings...the good, the bad, & especially the evil. Bravo! I'll be awaiting your Emmy Nominations next year! You'll be full of them.
Lucifer: Save Lucifer (2019)
Thank you Netflix!!!
This was one of my family's favorite shows before being cancelled by Fox. Soooo grateful to Netflix for picking it up! Season 4 from Netflix was better than any other! The action scenes were definitely better, the new plots & even all the actors are back & better than ever! Although we are very grateful for the announcement of Season 5, we greedily must beg for Season 6. That would give fans the closure they require while hopefully get syndicated. #SaveLucifer
Rocketman (2019)
Great movie, GREAT performance by Taron Edgerton
I have been impatiently waiting for this movie to come out, grabbed the 1st pre-viewing I could. Big fan of Taron, even bigger fan of Sir Elton. He helped me survive my formative years, love, love, LOVE Elton. My only criticism of the movie is, that not knowing a lot of detail about his life during this problematic time in his life, I would have loved to have been provided a clearer time frame that all this movie addressed, as well as a more in depth explanation of key issues that I didn't know because of a lack of detail or biography explaining what we were witnessing in relation to what happened & when. Great movie, really loved it.
The Favourite (2018)
Such a disappointment
I was eager to watch it as soon as it came out, but, of course, my teen never wanted to see it. Watching all the awards shows only made me more eager. It was awful! The costuming was wonderful, Olivia Coleman was worthy of all the awards she won, as was Emma Stone & Rachael Weiss. The movie dragged, was VERY boring & hard to keep my attention. I usually love every movie I see, but this has to be in my top 10 worst films I've ever seen.
Station 19 (2018)
Pretty decent show! Fits right in with Grey's & For the People
I'm very impressed with Dermot Mulroney as Ryan's Dad was extremely great story line. I actually found it hard to believe they WEREN'T related. The resemblance is uncanny.
