Beautiful looking film with great actors telling the story of a DC comics hero that has never been "A" list. Jason Mamoa did a decent job capturing this new take on the classic stodgy King of the Seas. The humor was a nicely scattered side note and the depiction of the various kingdoms was great. Visually stunning colors and creatures with a "fast furious" action tempo. Looking forward to more.

So many people gave it such hate. This movie was a fun blast of comic book vigilante symbiote. I didn't mind a bit of reimagining. The action was fast and big. keeping the film moving along without bogging down. Really liked the jokes and the actors were great.

So, if you read my reviews you may notice they're short. I say watch or don't. Plain and simple and too the point. Well, now for something a bit different. I have a soft spot for films that incorporate music as this did. I longed for more of the music and really enjoyed the story. The acting was wonderful and I even started to tear up as I thought of my daughter and life. I felt a strange kinship with Frank's story and really can't recommend enough. Watch this then RUDDERLESS and finally SING STREET for a wonderful music filled day.

With a definite nostalgic feel this movie wraps up all the John Hughes teen rom-coms and the 90s into 1 single flick. Great fun, good story and good acting. Watch it.
