I binged both series right through, didn't fall asleep at all, just need to know the ending. Verdict: good show, but show wise only. The moral of the story is thrash ... pure evil woman in a police uniform? ?? Sarah Parish fits in the role very well indeed ... you will hate her to the point that you believe no such evil human being should be allowed to live! Whatever happened to Dr Anya Karim? They didn't bring her back in the second series. If I were an actor in this series, I certainly would not want to play the role of the son, Joe Bancroft. They made the character to be a real idiot! Nope, not watching this one again.

Quite absorbing thriller ... but a bit far-fetched and with flaws e.g. Why is the trial of a soldier over an incident in the Afghan war be tried in a civil court? ... thought it should be court martial. Anyway, I was completely absorbed all the way, only to be downheartedly shot at the end which completely threw me off altogether! I simply don't enjoy entertainment where the bad guys got away with murder and the good guys worked so hard only to turn around 180 degrees at the end.

I binge-watched this series up to Series 3 when I decided I can't take it anymore ... I mean, I can't take him anymore! Very good show, but can't stand the boss Boyd. Been watching so many good British crime shows, this one is the only one I just cannot stand the main character, suppose to be the "hero" of the series. He is a complete jerk, certainly not a team player which he has been preaching to his team, he just do what he likes because he is the boss. That's it! Very good show but shame about the main character.

Wasn't impressed with the beginning/opening of the mini-series and stopped watching halfway the 1st episode. Four weeks later, decided to start watching it again from the beginning and persevere and binged right through to the end. It is not too bad and not very good either ... just okay, and I have only three comments: (1) John Simms is completely miscast here (2) they made the police look like fools ... not doing anything! (3) the writers doesn't really seem to know how to end the story ... made it such a way like as if there is going to be a series two? Give me a break :)

Not a bad whoddunit, actually ... a bit too long ... could have shortened it down to 3 or 4 episodes ... many unnecessary plots/scenes. The beginning/opening crime scene has a misleading clue ... it gave away muffled men's voices during the struggle at the top of the cliff ... but, the killer is not a man!!! Ha ha.

Better than expected series ... especially the first two seasons. Season 3 is good/great too, except for the Lizzie character (can't stand her character) which I fast forward each time her character comes in! Lizzie character is not necessary and not real ... only spoils the show!

For goodness sake, don't take it too seriously watching this movie ... after all it is just a movie, a fantasy, it can be made anyhow you want to make it no matter how unrealistic ... after all, it is a comedy of sort. I noticed bad reviews from viewers probably because they watched it too seriously.
My reaction to this movie? When I sat down to watch it, yes, I thought this is going to be interesting, I carried on and beginning to like it. Towards three quarters of the movie, hang on, I thought, they are making a hero of the crook/villain ... oh no! ... I was beginning to hate that ... she survived! Nope, I don't think I am going to like the ending, I thought.
And then, the ending came ... POW! ... I love it, I love it, I love it ... it came exactly as I would like it to end ... I am just a sucker for good endings!
