Great series from beginning to end 👏

Great series from beginning to end 👏

A mystery that actually stays suspenseful and keeps the viewer guessing. The best thing about it is it isn't overrun with bloody, sick violence, as so many mysteries can be. There are good production values, interesting settings, and a nicely diverse, talented cast. It stays visually interesting with pretty architecture, nice outdoor shots, quirky fashions, and intricate, artistic touches throughout.

Ir's worth watching for some escapist distraction, if you don't mind some psychological tension. I took off one star because it is a bit slow-paced at parts, and, the background instrumental music is doing a bit too much work to signal suspense. The pop songs are well incorporated, but the "scary" music" in many scenes is somewhat heavy-handed and trite. Overall, I'd like more from his creative team; the series is well-written and well-executed.

1/10
predictable
22 January 2021
Ray donovan rip off with lipstick, I really tried to watch the season, it is too predictable and cliche, I know real strong pr women in hollywood and this is degrading to them too. if I could have given less than one star I would, it's not the acting, Anna paquin is flawless, the cast is great, the writing is boring..... HARD PASS

The Hunt (II) (2020)
10/10
entertaining thrill kill joy ride
15 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The Hunt is an entertaining thrill kill joy ride if you like action thriller films with diverse characters going ballistic with any weapon available, from composition to conflict, climax and denouement this film is a roller-coaster ride, the dramatic structure, (Exposition) is conveyed and executed, (pun intended) flawlessly. The concept behind the film is ingenious as well, it proposes what if a group of elitist radical members of one political group decided to kidnap and then hunt members of the diametrically opposite political group? The hunt is an action packed thriller overflowing with surreal acts of violence, topped off with layers of sarcasm, dark humor, political satire and a splash of cliché dialogue that is entertaining and well placed. A group text at the beginning of the film reveals that The "deplorables" as the hunted are referred to as, are Trump's underclass, The term "Basket of deplorables" from Hillary Clinton's reference to Trump supporters in her September 9, 2016 presidential election campaign fundraising event where Hillary Clinton deemed half of trumps supporters to be a "Basket of deplorables" I state this to say that this film takes a stab at everybody, (pun intended) equally. It's a mix of Surviving the Game (1994) The Hunger Games, Battle Royale (2000) nihilism, a little of The Most Dangerous Game (1932) and The Cabin in the Woods (2011), basically a group of twelve disparate souls deemed to be deplorable by a group of elitists wake up in the middle of what is seemingly nowhere, ostensibly Arkansas, or not, and are picked off, one by one, by unseen assailants. The tables are turned by Betty Gilpin's character Crystal whom can only be compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch in the film Predator (1987) as she too is an ass kicking and don't care to take names fully automatic human weapon of destruction, she is the one "deplorable" the hunters did not count on being so adept at not only fighting back but taking the fight to them. It's basically a satire skewering folks on both sides of the political divide so it has a little something for everybody to laugh about, don't take it too seriously or let it offend you after all it's meant to be entertainment...

fantastic film, great practical effects, technically superb, great story and perfect directing.
22 January 2020
Great film. Cinematically beautiful. I watched it with a group of reviewers from my film festival and we all agreed on giving it the highest ratings in our rate/review options on my Filmfreeway festival submissions page, I had recommend it to our other teams of reviewers and our judges, They too agreed it was a flawless film, we all loved it. It is a Great story, The characters are very well portrayed and keep the audience wanting more, The pace was perfect. The dramatic structure, (exposition) was very well executed, from composition to conflict, climax and denouement it kept us entertained, we all loved the end too, brought it full circle and kept us engaged and wanting more! Technically everything was spot on, the Directing is top notch, great audio, score, visuals, amazing practical effects and editing too, we screened it at prime time to a full house at Regal Cinemas at LA LIVE Saturday night November 9th, 2019 in our 300 seat theater, the same theater that has premieres of top Hollywood films, with full surround sound, this film was amazing on the big screen, This film is a very strong proof of concept for a feature length version, This 25 minute film could be the opening act for the feature as the story is very cleverly written for this to be developed into a feature length film, It won many awards and all the attendees agreed this filmmaker will be one to watch in the future. we hope to see this filmmaker come back to us at my film festival with the feature length version of this later..

Fantastic Film!
1 March 2017
I review film submissions for many film festivals, so it was a welcome surprise when I had seen this as a submission to the 2017 FILMCHELLA film festival on February 27th, I am only one of a couple dozen reviewers for that festival, but I strongly recommend it as an official selection, This is an epic film, from the opening shot, a beautiful aerial view of the forest, to the eerie shots accentuated by the low key lighting and use of hard shadows in the school, the cinematography looks fantastic, like it was shot with the same cameras used in big budget films, it is a very well written story, the principal, the sheriff and the school teacher were it's strongest actors, overall the school teacher is the best actor in the film, she is perfect, the principle is obviously a Hollywood character actor, and he's good at it' the sheriff was portrayed perfectly, the actor playing that role could easily be a real sheriff or football and baseball coach as he is the perfect role model type personality, this is definitely a coming of age film as well as a thriller, it has moments that captivated the audience and kept them at the edge of their seats, for a relatively low budget film, on Hollywood terms anything produced for under a million dollars is low budget, it looks and sounds like a bigger budget film, it has a few small errors in the audio, slight ADR discrepancies, and a few slight Visual Effects errors, not enough for the general public to criticize, but prevalent enough for distributors to take notice, the score is good, the acting is good, the characters work well together, it's believable, overall I loved this film, it kept me excited and intrigued, and engaged in the story, at the end it didn't feel like 80 minutes, which is great, the pace kept going, I would watch it again..

Award winning web series
11 February 2017
I viewed this Web Series as a submission to one of the film festivals I own last year and was immediately overcome with laughter, excitement and joy, this show has it all, and when my reviewers screened it and turned in their ballots for it to be selected as an official selection it was a unanimous decision, this has to be seen on the big screen and be entered into the film playoff's as well, it screened and won, and went on to win at many other festivals as well.

This Award winning Web series is Witty, Character Driven, funny, and very cleverly written, Laura Linda Bradley and her amazing cast work together seamlessly, they have an on screen relationship that is similar to great episodic TV shows like friends, Arrested Development, Modern Family,The Office,How I Met Your Mother, Community and Sex and the City, this series is full of surprises, and has won many awards at film festivals in Los Angeles California too, for best web series, best director, best writer, best actress Laura Linda Bradley and best supporting actress Corissa Pacillas Smith, this series has something for everybody, it's enlightening, entertaining, irreverent, flagrant, and an all around fun to watch sketch comedy style that engages you with characters that everyone can identify with.

Closure (III) (2015)

great film, fantastic story of redemption.
21 May 2016
This film is fantastic, I had seen it's premiere on the big screen at the Big House Los Angeles Entertainment Festival on November first of 2015 at L.A.LIVE Regal Cinemas in Downtown Los Angeles, at the premiere it played to a full house, the audience was overwhelmed by the films story, it was amazing, two weeks later at the end of the festival Closure was placed in the film festival's indie film playoff challenge against another blockbuster Christian feature film called Leaves of the tree, both were great films, I too agree with the festival authority reviewers and the audience participation votes that chose CLOSURE as the top winning feature film at the Big Cross Christian Film Festival, Closure is an amazing story, conveyed through superb acting, and great directing. this film is cinematically beautiful, the first time I had seen the trailer for the film it was a submission to the festival, as the Festival Authority review Director I immediately recommended Closure for further review by the other members of Festival authority, it was received with great reviews by everyone, and given an official selection laurel immediately, the film played to a full house again as it was granted an encore screening, and then again in the indie film playoff, where the audience chose it as the top winning film garnering it the Best Picture award for the Big Cross Christian film festival, this film is a must see for anyone whom has struggled with the loss of loved one's and is seeking refuge in others who have overcome it through redemption, as the synopsis states this is a story that is relevant to many suffering today in Iran due to oppression.

great feature film
26 March 2016
Imperfect Sky is a fantastic feature film, the story was gripping, the characters were captivating, gritty, and realistic, the shocking truth of addiction is brought to life through the cinematic genius of Director Graham Streeter, the gravity of the lifestyle of the addict whom is actively in his addiction is portrayed perfectly in this film, the main character skyler and his younger brother Abel meet after many years apart, Abel the younger brother is on a path of success as he is on his way to college, when he decides to make an unannounced visit to his estranged older brother Skyler, he quickly see's the ugly consequences of addiction as his older brother has succumb to a lifestyle of hustling to support his habit's'...

I had seen this feature film as a submission to the Big House Los Angeles Entertainment Festival in 2015, I was one of many reviewers for the festival, and after seeing the trailer I knew I had to watch the feature length version, the other reviewers for the festival all agreed that this film was fantastic, Cinematically it was beautiful, the acting was great, the story was outstanding, and it was chosen as an official selection for the festival, after it's screening at the festival at Lalive regal Cinemas the audience wanted more, festival attendee's whom had heard about the film requested an encore screening, and it was granted another screening on a Friday night to a packed theater again, and later on the final night of the film festival through audience participation votes Imperfect Sky was chosen as the Best Picture for it's category. since then it has gone on to win many awards at other festivals.

great plot twists, incredible storyline.
21 February 2016
this short film caught me completely by surprise, I was reviewing submissions for the film festival, Big House Los Angeles, and when fragile Storm came in I was drawn to it immediately, I have always been an admirer of Lance Henriksen's work as an actor, the story was mysterious, and very cleverly hinted that something was amiss, it kept me engaged, and when it reveals itself it was definitely worth the wait, the film went on to win awards at the festival, and had a second screening, audiences loved it, and wanted more, it was overwhelming how many people asked it it would be screened again, and everyone, including myself was wondering the same question, when will this fantastic story become a feature film.
