Resident Evil (2022)
Same trash that Netflix has made for the last few years.
This is the same poorly written time period jumping teen drama trash that most networks and especially Netflix has put out in the last few years. If you are a Resident Evil fan skip it, otherwise you might find something in it. I only gave it 2 stars instead of 1 for the decent CGI in it.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016)
Worst edited film in history hands down!
Aside from the usual problems with this type of movie and this particular franchise. This movie looks like it was edited by a high school film class on crystal meth. The action scenes are a dizzying mashup of half second cuts each from a different angle. There are dialog scenes where there is a camera a cut on every. single. word. They even left it open for yet another sequel. I wish I could give it negative stars.
I Am Legend (2007)
Good Ending Is Bad Compared To Original Story - Overrated
This movie is somewhat overrated.
It throws unnecessary religious talk in really quick near the end.
In the end Neville is a hero, in the other renditions he is either more of a monster than the night people or a mix of the two.
The night people were mostly barbaric idiots in this version of the story, not so in the others.
The first 3/4 is fairly cool to watch, especially for a Will Smith fan.
I thought it could have been done more to the original novel. However people nowadays would probably not accept the ending.
Why did he not put a snare on the front/side of the Deer Hunter Mustang? Why did he not just run into a deer and break its leg, he had an unlimited number of cars at his disposal.
It sucks that the dog dies.
Yet another mediocre remake of a classic. A somewhat sad remake for a novel that is one of the main influences of modern horror (including Romero's Zombies which are the standard for the way we see zombies in modern times).
Actually there is one more thing "The Last Man On Earth" and " The Omega Man" diverged from the novels title as well as its story, THIS movie messes the story up and yet puts it under the original title.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006)
Massacres the backstory.
This movie Chainsaw Massacres the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it really messes up the backstory.
I never did like the way "leatherface"s name changed from Francis to Tommy in the 2003 remake.
In the remake what is up with all the old cars if this bunch only killed 33 people in 4 years?
Why did they make leatherface to where he came from another family, he is just as psycho as the rest, now there is the thought that maybe they raised him to be psycho and he may have been OK if they hadn't?
I always found it more sinister that the Sheriff was actually the real Sheriff that had been elected by the community and he was that crazy.
Where did the kid go from the remake?
Prequels are always anti-climatic since you know what happens to the main characters later.
Wolf Creek (2005)
Overrated
I was expecting more when I watched this movie.
This movie is just Texas Chainsaw and Wrongturn with even less gore and suspense and no more story line than either of them.
It is being overrated by IMDb users (conspiracy), it deserves more around a 3 than a 6.
Take Hostel and take out 75% of the gore and 50% of the story and you have Wolf Creek.
It is based on true events about as much as Leatherface(Texas Chainsaw) is based on Edward Gein, Hanibal on Albert Fish or as Bufalo Bill is on Ed Gein.
Just more crap, even if it is from down under instead of H.Wood.
The Curse (1987)
Lol
Lmao!!! You guys think you have it bad watching this thing, I actually spent half my life in the little hick town it was filmed in.
Now that is bad.
Oddly only a small glimpse of the town is visible in the movie, in the scene where you can see an old barbed wire fence outside of the car window as John Schneider drives down the road... well the hill just above it has contained 3 apartment complexes since around 1992 and I currently reside in one of them.
In another scene you can see out the door of the "Inn" (if you can call it that) the old historic Co-Op building which used to be a Railroad Station that was used in the Civil War (tracks have been gone since 1990 or so).
Fortunately I did spend the other half of my childhood in various other places across the country.
Unfortunately, I am currently residing in good Ole' Tellico Plains Tennessee again ..... can't seem to stay out of this place .... aaahhh... omg it is a curse!!!!
