Very funny movie that goes well with popcorn
25 September 2008
It is very interesting to know that a great percentage of people between age 20-29 live at home (with me being one of them) with their parents either because of being unable to find a job or being unable to fully support themselves. Although the main character (Tripp) in this movie if a full 35 years of age. But there must even be some 40 somethings today living at home either because they want to stay close to their family or they can't afford the high cost of rent.

I am sure there must have been some real life situations where parents have tried to hire a girl to get their son to move out of the house (it is not as far fetched as it seems)! A lot of the themes in this movie definitely apply to the "Twixster" generation who struggle from a weak economy.

The part of the movie that was my favorite is where Zoey Daschael's character watches Tripp give the dying bird CPR and the bird bites him right in the nose! Then everything goes chaotic and a mess in made in the living room.

A film for the whole family to enjoy
25 September 2008
There is only good things that can be said about this magical children's film (it is also made for adults who struggle with a lost childhood). There are toys that come to life throughout the store which shows that for magic to exist as Dustin Hoffman's character said all one has to do is BELIEVE! I am not sure how true that might be in real life but it can be applied to many problems that come up at work or home. This film shows the true meaning of innocence through the wonders of magic and how that magic works to keep a toy store alive.

I highly recommend this movie to kids and adults. There are many lessons to take home from this, with the biggest one being that the world is full of magic and can be harnessed only if you believe in it.

Saint Ralph (2004)
10/10
Great Inspirational Movie
25 September 2008
Warning: Spoilers
There is a whole lot of lessons to be learned from watching Saint Ralph. The main message is anything is possible through hard work and faith in God, as shown in the movie. Even though Ralph loses the race he comes within a hair length of winning by finishing 2nd place. All that hard work sure made his mother proud and we see in the end that she does come out of her coma, even if it is only briefly. It shows that anything is possible with a little faith and hard work.

This movie is much better than the senseless horror or extreme violence films being produced. There needs to be more inspirational innocent movies like this out there.

Because Why (1993)
Just plain boring!!

There is absolutely no point to this movie! The directors must have had nothing better to do with their time. It is the worst movie I have seen in I think my entire life! What a pure waste of time and energy...!
