Without feeling ... just bad

The reviews of the movie are the best part. At least someone put their heart into the reviews and you feel like they cared ... unlike anything in this movie. There are some good actors here so I don't think it's the acting, must be the writing? It's just bad. I'm extremely disappointed.

I didn't read the book, so I am not going to compare to that. I will just say that I agree with others - this feels like another heartless Steven Segal flick with no humor or one-liners to look forward to. I play the games and was looking forward to the story and hopefully tieing this into Jack Ryan. Instead, I hope they either scap this and start over with better writing, story, and directing, or they really make a lot of changes for the sequel.

3 stars for the MBJ shirtless scenes (lol), and the post credit scene only because of the lead off into what can only be a better movie.

Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981 TV Movie)

This one right here. I haven't rewatched it since I saw it when I was a kid, but i have never forgotten it and the burlap mask worn. When the movie The Strangers came out and a similar mask was worn, it legit sent a shiver down my spine and brought all of those old childhood fears back to me. That to me is the sign of a good movie. One that sticks with you for now 40 years!!!

I'm so glad to see that there's so much love and appreciation out there for this movie. Now I need to rewatch it and terrorize my own children!

Cursed (2020)

Could and should have been better

I loved the Arthurian stories, so I was excited about this. And the casting of "Floki" as Merlin interested me that much more. I kept waiting for it to get better, the acting to get better, and Floki to be Merlin, and not Floki ... it just didn't happen, until the end. The acting still is not good, the makeup (the horns look so fake ... like they came from a dollar store), and the fight scenes were TERRIBLE. It could have been so good, but instead, it just felt like they chose to go cheap and not spend the money to make it better.

Mayans M.C. (2018–2023)

Great show but Sarah Bolger is terrible - sorry

Going to keep this simple. Love the show, doesn't pull punches, really a great show. But I cannot stand Sarah Bolger, who plays Emily. She's over-dramatic, her over-exaggerating facial expressions are just terrible. Basically, I have a hard time watching every scene she's in.

I'm hoping she gets better, otherwise I'd just as soon watch Kristen Stewart in Twilight ...

I know, this is just my opinion and you don't have to agree. You can even convince me I'm wrong. Or again, maybe she will get better as the show goes on ... I hope so. Lol
