Control (2004)
Ray Liotta doesn't act in this role
Extraordinary script: psychologically, pharmacologically, medically, sociologically - overall scientifically - accurate. Heart-wrenching throughout, thriller paces down to drama only to pace up and point out the true to life tragedy and the change of hearts it brings about, leading to true resolution. A challenge to any actor. So Ray Liotta doesn't act in this role. Just lives it for all to see this unspoken reality.
The Englishman's Boy (2008)
a show of extreme cruelty - without warning
"The Englishman's Boy" is a show of extreme cruelty, yet not restricted and carries no warning. Giving it to the public without warning is cruelty to the public - and even more, it is psychological abuse to the children who watch it.
Watch what? Cruelty to humans by other humans, pain, blood and death here are horrendous, and more so when you find out that it is based on real facts. But at least here, for the screen it was all feigned. The actors are all well and earned money feigning it.
Watch what? Cruelty to horses, that had been factually committed during the production of "The Englishman's Boy". This is not a documentary, therefore there is no reason and no excuse for the crude footage. It is intolerable that it had been committed in our day and age for the production of ... art.
"Mind's Eye Entertainment" prides itself for unmasking horrors that had been covered-up in the past, while getting-away with their own horrific cruelty?!
I Am Dina (2002)
satanic masterpiece
Surreptitious dialectic-materialist propaganda.
But at least they're honest: desecrating the house of worship murders the seed. That's what lucifer lures humans to indulge.
This film is a satanic masterpiece.
Cipolla Colt (1975)
Brilliant Satire
Saw CipollaColt in Europe in 76. The title was translated "For a Fistful of ... Onions". Could never forget this flicker! Onions bring a big smile to my face ever since :D . Brilliant Satire about an otherwise SAD, SAD world. Who would have thought it was going to be actual ... globally ... in the 3rd millennium?
Not finding it back home, I thought it was censored - no pun intended - but browsing Franco Nero on Google is mum about "Cry, Onion!" ... I Had to use my broken Italian to find it on EU sites. Today I found it on IMDb - may God Bless you for bringing it home :) Here we sorely need good, healthy, sarcastic satire - it's the most effective gadget of TODAY'S SURVIVAL KIT. And onions. Plenty of non GMO CryOnions ... What else would wake us up and get us to recover from this economic depression and impending decadence, if not a good serving of genuine daily ... LAUGH :D
