Fractured (2019)
They chose the easiest way
It's a bit cliche but movie had so much potential than what was offered. All the suspense, twists and tension linked up to the easiest ending to conclude the story. It's a decent thriller and manages to keep your attention but as I've already told it doesn't try enough to make a sustaining impression, Knowing that it is a netflix original, what more we could expect anyways?
Titans: Dick Grayson (2018)
Great script weak finale
I'm disappointed mostly because characters haven't developed close to their potentials. I was expecting Rachel to finally unify with her inner force against her father. After all, it was about time that both her and the rest of the team find peace within themselves and fight with Rachel's father in unison. Though we only found out that Dick has given up to his dark side. That could have been told in 5 minutes but the crew apparently wanted to save Trigon for the next season.
This episode is a great piece of art from start to end, Still, I would prefer a less poetic finale where some action happened in practical terms.
The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
Without last episode it would be10/10
It's a breakthrough for the horror genre. It has drama and depth that most of the-if not all- horror shows and movies lack. Acting and casting was again marvelous. My only disappointment is the ending. I thought something bigger or surprising had been building for the finale. I thought something more terrifying and sad had been preparing. But things are almost turned out happy for the family.
A little ambiguous ending wouldn't hurt me for such a show filled with curiosity. I'd just prefer a dark, mysterious and thrilling one rather than simply a hopeful one. I'd expected more from the red room, from the house but still I don't want to evaluate the whole show on the basis of the last episode for the sake of being fair. It's a promising show for the horror genre and it has the power to open a new chapter within the genre.
Maniac (2018)
Stylish garbage
This show is like a mediocre gift in a fancy box. It appears breathtaking but soon you realize content is so dull. It certainly is stylish but then it pushes too hard and begs for your attention. Would be a nice piece of painting though but now is just a golden rubbish.
Young Sheldon (2017)
Don't ever cancel it.
This is an incredible show. Yes there aren't laughter effects, but I find that show quite enjoyable nevertheless. Iain is a very talented little guy, and cast is also really appropriate. I hope TV ratings of the show turn out fine in the long run, cause I don't think the show is deserving only 6.0 rate. Big applause from me. Finally, TBBT and Young Sheldon have distinctive characters. So don't expect your laughs to explode watching this. Rather, the show gives you a gentle, cozy feeling like everything is quite alright in the show.
The Big Bang Theory: The Collaboration Contamination (2017)
Just plain fine.
I liked this episode the best in this season. Nevertheless, new episodes don't and won't grasp the intonations of the very first seasons. The show has evolved along with the characters. It would have been really hard to keep Howard's weird and incredibly funny personality for the whole 10 season. So that he is married now and expecting his second child. He becomes something else, almost a decent husband. Other characters took the shape of something else as well. But every show must go in certain direction and evolve as a whole. I consider this show as an epic journey. The one that carefully and intelligibly used great jokes(along with great cast), and now that all the authenticity have been left behind, it floats somewhere between an average and good one now.
The Flash: Mixed Signals (2017)
Who is that new guy?
Barry has dealt with a lot in the previous season. He had gone through so much and felt desperate and exhausted most of the time. And now, he suddenly came out of speed-force like nothing has happened. He is joyful more than ever, and it is not because that he is grateful to return to the world or Iris. It is something extreme. His attitudes, behaviours are so incongruent with the stereotype that I could recall. I've even thought about the possibility of our new villain to shape and control the actions of him. Iris seemed to suspect that he is not the fiancée who went into the speed-force couple months ago. I don't know whether anyone else have noticed that, but it is a disturbing issue unless it is something fictionalized. Besides, add something new. I don't want Barry to gain his confidence following an emotional talk anymore.
Arrow: Kapiushon (2017)
Maybe the best acting of Amell ever since the beginning.
Everything was more than average in this episode and I like it. We have been seeing more thrilling, cruel, and maybe the most desperate circumstances of Oliver Queen in 5th season and this episode successfully builds to the battle between Prometheus, and still keeps us wondering about what may be coming next. Also, Amell was fascinating with his acting and I hope he will continue to act so in the following episodes. When good scripts meet with confident acting of Amell, it makes the show "something else" as we had been witnessed throughout the very first episodes of Arrow.
The Crow (1994)
Very Good Portrayal
It is not an easy thing to make you feel the presence of a person, who disappeared in the first couple minutes of the movie, in the portrayal of an another one.I love the fact that how I could feel the void inside Eric. How I could feel the misery.
Consistent use of color tones is another remarkable thing that I appreciated. It was like looking at a one single beautiful piece of art, rather than trying to grasp what is at stake in each frame of a flow. Nothing was deflected.
I'd just wanted the journey last longer so that maybe we could see an in-depth character development through which maybe I could empathize even more with Eric. Also it appears to me that whole entire story can be created to reflect the weirdness of the sibling villains. I'm not sure whether I would want it but sure it can be done as there are too many materials in them.
Lastly, It's not a hero movie about a strong guy but a story of a vulnerable guy who tries to go back into light, near to his beloved one. Struggles of him reflected to every ground of the movie and even to the coloring. I feel sad, angry sometimes and slightly happy. Actings do not really have flaws and the movie successfully tells whatever it likes to say implicitly. So you can take whatever you want or you don't, then just enjoy.
The Flash: Duet (2017)
I would have watched Glee instead.
I'm not trying to be hateful and I like this show a lot. On the other hand, this episode was really a disappointment for me and it diverged from the story line. Besides, the episode couldn't even deliver emotional fulfillment. I couldn't even feel something during the episode but instead I had been thinking about how bizarre this was. It's not like I want whole show to be composed of action scenes, excitements, thrills but at least deliver ideas without changing the show into a completely different material.
Before I Wake (2016)
Expectation free amusement.
At some part of the movie I realized that there is so little time left and it was kind of sad. I didn't want it to over as I felt that there can be more to put into the story. As if there is a huge part of beginning and then there comes a slightly clumsy resolution to a story not in terms of the content, the kind but because it all happened so fast. Despite this, it is a descent fantasy-horror thriller and even a feel good movie.(I guess..) it is a movie for every kind of movie person. I would also like to point out that the child actor was amazing here and I'd love to see him in any other horror show as well. I can't tell whether Kate Bosworth nailed the role as she screams out as " I'm acting !" in some particular scenes. But there is no need to exaggerate the faults of beautifully written modest films. This is one of these modest films that grasp your attention even though it doesn't demand it.
Cujo (1983)
I liked it...
There is always same kind of feeling about the movies based upon King's novels. They are intriguing, and makes you wonder throughout the entire movie. Also, details of the everyday life, some common aspects our lives were put very will in King's books as well as to movies in a highly creative way that it is highly unlikely to not to surprise even though what you are observing is pretty simple and a familiar occurrence. It's all because of King's imaginative, creative way of thinking solid and simple. You're going to witness here how a peaceful dog turns out to be something else, but the general atmosphere and the harmony of everything is worth your attention.
The Boy (2016)
Entertaining
It has a consistent atmosphere which had made me wonder throughout the movie. Well... almost throughout the movie. I could have been more satisfied if that twist in the end didn't happen and if producers would have come up with a better way to solve the mystery that is more appropriate and unexpected at the same time, not unexpectedly dull.. It is definitely mysterious, entertaining and worth watching. I would just prefer a supernatural ending as the environment of the movie suggests while keeping you await excited rather than discovering that it is a story of a psycho.
Still, it is better than annabelle for me. Character development of the doll is much better than some of the movies "human" characters. There comes a time in the movie and you almost become sure that it is the time when little brahms would show signs of being alive in front of the audience. I can even radically say that the lead actor not lauren cohen. So I should conclude by saying that I really enjoyed watching it ; at the same time disappointed by the lack of the efforts made to resolve the mystery.
High Strung (2016)
It delivers the fun anyway.
There is obviously a lack of emphasis here. However, it is one of those fast paced movies and the producers also aware of the fact that the movie could easily be reputed as such a cliché. So they don't give hard time to the audience and directly delivers the story. Most of the time I enjoyed it, and recommend everyone who isn't only the fan of the unique, must seen movies.
We have got to know that not every movie is made to become a masterpiece.Besides, critical minds can easily detect the flaws and decide not to see the whole of it by watching the trailer.
Those who want to get some good vibes from a cheesy movie. Don't miss it.
