I'm surprised by the bad reviews

I'm really surprised by all the bad reviews! I actually really enjoyed this, and I Love the first one. I went into this though without any expectations, and I actually expected it to be bad, so I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the fashion, I loved some of the issues they lightly touched on. I definately think it could have been longer to smooth out the story though but overall really enjoyed it.

Its not often I sit through a movie not realising how long it's been going for. This movie finished and I thought there was another hour to go. Really good character progression. Awsome acting. I hope there is a second one!

hard to follow

I was hopeful this would be one of those really awesome budget horrors, it was not. The story line was really hard to follow and didn't really make much sense.

The actors didn't seem to fit the story line, which again didn't really make much sense anyway. A bunch of adults dressing and acting like teenagers - they may as well have had teenage actors and made it a general slasher horror flick. At first I thought they were meant to be in high school but as I was watching, I was realising how old they looked, then one of them mentioned something about "when they were in college" - hinting they are their late 20s. The actors were OK but overacted at times.

The camera work was rubbish, jumping all over the place randomly, if it was on purpose they didn't do it enough to make it obvious - it just seemed like really bad camera work and they just couldn't be bothered to fix it/re-shoot it.

Also the sound on this movie was horrible. you could hear every little thing, especially when they were sitting on the beds or something, you could hear the bed creaking beneath them - this is just one example.

I did think it was cool how they seemed to take inspiration from "Friday 13th" or something similar with the way they shot the movie: how the stabbing was not shown etc - I'm not sure if that was intentional though or just the product of a really low budget.

Overall really bad movie, waste of my time.

I watched this thinking it was a documentary and throughout it im thinking, this seems so fake... the people don't appear to be telling real stories and the "video footage" was looking pretty staged as well.. AND the woodland noises are sounds I have heard before clearly computer made and the yeti cry is also something I just couldn't believe...

then I came onto the internet to find out more and found this is a FICTIONAL MOVIE - NOT A DOCUMENTARY Cant believe I just wasted my time on this Thanks Animal Planet for putting on a shitty movie instead of a documentary like your meant to.....

disappointed and waste of my time.

Flight 7500 (2014)

I Loved It ! But i Had no expectations

So I just read through a few reviews thinking to myself "aw, am I not seeing something that everyone else is" but I think I figured out its because I put this movie on without any expectations. I had no idea what it was going to be about - I forgot I even had it..

So I just chucked it on to watch while I was eating my lunch and it just gripped me instantly. It was very suspenseful, its not really a scary/horror movie as you may expect and I think its been portrayed to be a horror but to me its more of a thriller/mystery.

I know a lot of people said its been done before and maybe 15 years ago it would be scary but I still thought it was awesome. I went in first thinking it was gonna be Zombies, then thinking Aliens, then Demons - it just took me around and around & I couldn't wait for the ending!

There were a few little hints throughout the movie that at first confused me, but then made sense at the end.

ONE THING I HATED, was that extra last 2 minutes which should have been cut entirely - and was not needed. It feels like the movie has ended and I was all like "wow that was awesome" screen goes black for a minute... then it pops back up with Liz (Nicky Whelan) in a little 2 min scene which was stupid and kinda ruined the ending - but I just pretend it doesn't exist.

I love Marilyn and this documentary was really great at showing more of her that I haven't seen before and things I really didn't know about her.

The one thing that I hated (which is why I gave it an 8/10) is the awful readings by all these actors. They did a horrible job and all overacted and exaggerated all her diary readings. For me that ruined the movie and it would have been awesome with just a unknown backperson reading as Marilyn.

The only ones who I thought did a good job was Lindsey Lohan and Elizabeth Banks, and that's because they just acted naturally.

But I just found myself getting confused about if it was them talking or them reading as Marilyn.

Overall though, I loved the new insight into Marilyns life and the hurtful ending to her life.

Inner Demons (I) (2014)

I was so disappointed. I love demon movies and was excited to see a new take on it.

It seemed like it could be OK in the beginning, but as soon as she spoke in that 2 tone voice, I started to lose hope. It needed a lot more depth as well, there wasn't a lot of connection there.

To me the effects they used in this movie were really ammeter and they just got worse as the movie progressed.

Also the camera jumping around all the time made me a little nauseous. That was another thing, I didn't realise before I watched it, that it was hand held camera - you can still do it good without having the camera jump all over the screen.

I loved the idea of this, but overall I was really disappointed =(

I don't understand why this has got a 3 out of 10 ? I think its a fantastic show.

Shows how these teens have to grow up instantly when their baby is born, and shows their struggles with the baby daddy & family etc.

I personally love it. I've become addicted and am watching it pretty much back to back to catch up.

Its got all the typical MTV type animation throughout which gives it a bit more of an upbeat type feel.

the show is pretty emotional, its got me laughing, crying and in shock. I will continue watching it and I cant wait to start teen mom 1 & 2!!

Bad Teacher (2011)

was pretty funny but don't expect too much

I went in not expecting much out of this movie so it turned out better than I thought.

it was pretty funny but I have to agree with some other peoples reviews - if it wasn't for the cast this movie would have been really bad.

Justin Timberlake, as always plays such a funny character, and I liked how they played on the "super nice" to make it funny. there's only a few actors who would have been able to make that character funny otherwise it would have flopped.

im surprised its only got a 5.7 I thought it should be a point higher at just under 7.

its a bit of a far fetched movie, but has its funny moments and its not really cliché which is good - which is another thing I thought would happen.

The Dirties (2013)

the movie started off OK realised it was "found footage" movie - put me off a bit

it wasn't done very well and the acting was pretty average.. im getting sick of these movies that "claim" the footage is real... don't even bother anymore seriously.

the build up was pretty poor and then its a total anti climax at the end

your expecting a mass shooting at the school and he only shoots 2 people, then its over....

this really shouldn't have over a 5/10 rating - im pretty fair with movies and ill generally watch anything and find good in most movies but this one was pretty boring and the ending could have made the movie but it failed horribly.

Awful awful awful movie... I new it would be bad before I watched it but I gave it a shot hoping that it would at least be funny.

however it was not funny at all.. its was quite boring, the acting was a bit meh (not bad but not good either) it started off like it would be quite funny but then dropped after the first 10 mins.

there was absolutely no effort in the graphics - I suspect they have made the graphics bad on purpose (to try make it funnier?) however I find it .. offensive? that's the best word I can use to describe it.. why would you use shut bad graphics, when even low budget movies use better graphics than this.. it would have at least been OK had the sharks looked real or even just the water.....

cant stand anything with really bad graphics.

I feel like there was really NO EFFORT in making this movie... I really should stop watching these kinds of movies but im always curious.

and lets throw in a teenage threesome just to keep people watching half way through.. omg when they get bitten during that scene its just stupid

cant stand the camera going between below the water and above the water.

Carmen electra tanning like shes posing for a porno mag on the boat through most of the movie (sorry Carmen im sure you were just doing what you were told)

wasn't even funny.. very poor attempt at the comedy horror.

Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

Pretty Shocking

I rated this a 7 out of 10 however I didn't like this movie, the only reason was because I found out the animals were actually killed and it wasn't fake - there was absolutely no need for that.

I put that aside and rated it a 7 because it was well made and was pretty interesting and It was shocking. There wasn't much of a story line but it didn't really need much.

Anyone who can stand animal cruelty will be fine but I just cant see any animals being hurt and those parts really upset me - and im a HUGE horror fan and can watch anything but I definitely cant watch animals being hurt.

Very well made for the year and budget, and there is nothing else out there like this movie which makes it even more interesting. Its pretty shocking but there is worse out there nowadays.

If there wasn't real animals being killed on this movie I would have loved it and I would have rated it a little higher too.

Willow Creek (2013)

this movie could have been so much better. Along the same lines of the blair witch project which made me excited at first.

started to get scary in the middle... but that was all.. on their first night they hear noises in the middle of the night then they get up and leave the next morning it was kinda like where the blair witch movie was after the first night of hearing noises and then ended after that I wanted to know more about the weird half naked woman at the end and what the eff she had to do with the movie.

was such an anticlimax..... got me all excited and then the movie just ended =( if it just had another 40 minutes of more weirdness and scary things, it would have been soooo much better just made me really disappointed at the end

This movie was realllllllyyy boring

I only like 1 thing about it and it was the last 5 or 10 minutes and that's because it shows you what we didn't see at the end of the first movie... from paranormal 1 - at the end when she comes back upstairs with blood all over her and then sits on the floor rocking back and forth, you see what happens just before that at the end of this movie - the marked ones.

its like they tried to rip off afflicted, and im not sure which movie came first but afflicted is WAY better, I've watched that twice now.

I hope they don't make any more "Paranormal Activity" Movies, because they have lost their affect.

Contracted (2013)

Refreshing take on a movie like this

I loved the new take on a Zombie Outbreak and I would LOVE to see a sequel to this its definitely not a bad movie, I like to look through what most people would consider bad and concentrate on the story itself and this one had a great story although it could have been better. The acting was a bit meh, but it wasn't as bad as I've seen but it didn't affect the movie really. I wish it had gone a bit more in depth and had more soul to it as it was a little bit stale however I did still love it. I new she was probably turning into a zombie - from her face falling off and her eyes turning red and white. I would have liked to see her turn a couple of people into what she was becoming, would have made it a little more interesting for a 'breakout' but I really want to see a sequel and I think it could be done awesome! it could start at that dude she had sex with at the end and then he starts infecting people too and then ZOMBIEE WORLD! would love it! so anyway I gave it a 6 out of 10 because I did like it, but it could have been better, and if they make a sequel ill be a happy camper

Anna (VII) (2013)

Loved It!!

Omg I loved this movie. I went into it not really sure what was going to happen, and it kept me guessing the whole way through. I thought it had a really good story and I also thought the ending was fantastic. I did have a few scenarios for what was going on but it never gave anything away. its nothing like I have seen before which was what made me love it more. I wouldn't say its a super edge of your seat thriller, but it was well done and it was a great story. the 2 leads were fantastic, and what made me want to watch this more was the fact that Taissa Farmiga was the lead female and I love her acting in American Horror Story. She has the perfect look for the role of a wounded soul. There are some people giving this poor ratings and saying they thought it was going to be better, but I loved it - and as always, just don't go into it expecting it to be something in particular coz it probably wont be what your imagining it to be.

Noah (2014)

I went into this movie assuming it would be all about Jesus/god & the bible etc but i thought it would still be a good story/action etc.

However, I was pleasantly surprised! The movie doesn't say whether its biblical or evolution. It goes through the Evolution process but when it comes to adam and eve there was a "creator" who was not called god which was nice - i liked that it was just called the creator.

There was also a lot of fantasy aspects, with a few things i would consider to be magical.

I cried towards the end because it gets very emotional with regards to family & procreation.

I loved all the bits with the animals but hated some of the scenes where they got killed =( all in all it was a really good story which could be enjoyed by both believers and non believers, loved the characters who all did a fantastic job and it turned out to be better than i expected which is why i gave it a 9 out of 10.

Magic Magic (2013)

omg this was so good.

It didn't seem like much at the beginning but it just got better and better, I couldn't look away.

there isn't much of a story, however I still found it to be an amazing movie, more like an art piece/film festival type of movie that really makes you think.

I felt so many different emotions. makes you realise what some people go through..

and at the end I was balling my eyes out.

I can see why people wouldn't like it, but if you like "odd" movies (like me) u should love it I am still a bit confused about what it was about(I watched it without the sub titles - which probably didn't help)I want to watch it again now to see if I missed anything and just coz I really enjoyed it, I feel like I have to watch it again..

The Cabin in the Woods (2011)

This movie was pretty funny and it was quite original as well. I do think they could have done a little bit better though. it wasn't too spoofy, it was definitely a good mix between horror and comedy. The ones that are so comical that it takes away from the fact its a horror get boring after a while it definitely isn't like the title suggests "the cabin in the woods". for me that title makes me think its going to be your typical slasher or ghost film, so this one was a nice surprise.

it was a mix between horror with the blood, guts and zombies,and syfy with the entire thing being an experiment and they cant get out.

I love the guys who are watching over the experiment, they are super funny.

one thing I only picked up on when the stoner mentioned it, because they didn't really emphasize, was that the game was changing their personalities. they could have done a bit better on that.

also nicely surprised when it didn't end where I thought it would.

its pretty cool how its all like elevators like the movie "cube", there were actually a few references to other movies in this I noticed.

I love when the elevators all open up and all the monsters come out, that was funny and its awesome how many different creatures and things were in the cube elevators, that was pretty inventive there.

the one thing I didn't really like was the "ritual" thing, I thought it would have been better to go along the lines of an experimental thing.

but without thinking too much into it, it was a good comedy horror, one to sit back with your mates, have a few drinks and have a good laugh while at the same time getting a bit squeamish or shocked!

Sand Sharks (2012)

hahahahahahahahahahahahah - that pretty much sums up this movie it was hilariously bad.. graphics were terrible.. acting was terrible however it was a super funny "horror" movie... not as good/funny as the piranha movies but I think it fits in well with that comedy horror category, but its more about how bad the movie is that makes it funny, than the story line actually being funny. I did think that Brooke Hogan did a very good job - she was about the only good actor in this movie. I found it super funny when at the end they blow up the huge shark and you can clearly tell people from behind the camera are throwing guys at the characters. if I was going to have a funny horror movie night, this would make it onto the list just for a good laugh.

Carrie (2013)

Loved It !!

A great remake of the original 1976 Carrie. The only reason I rated it 9 and not 10 was due to her levitating out of the building (which I thought was a little ridiculous) and her discovering her powers before the prom, I felt like this took away a little bit from the ending which I thought should have been more dramatic. otherwise it was an overall great movie!! A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Lawrence D. Cohen and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
