A forest officer on a mission to capture a supposedly dangerous bull in a remote village.
31 May 2008
This is a light hearted film with a simple subject. The treatment and pace of the movie keeps it alive and you're gradually introduced to the bull and stories/rumors about him, making you wonder, if its really dangerous etc. The officer's brother volunteers to shoot a documentary of the entire mission which makes the film esp interesting.

A well made film where you start knowing and getting involved with the characters, especially the simple minded villagers. The language has an authentic flavor and so do the actors. Good thing, they didn't use much make up or deliberately colorful clothes. Not an art film and not a big budget movie, but if you like simplistic entertainment, this one's not to be missed.

Atul Kulkarni is pleasant to watch and other actors are also nice. The bull has done a good job too.

Editing could be better, as sometimes you feel a bit lost; or the story lessens grip at times. But that's critically speaking only. The duration of the film is just right and no songs and dances makes it particularly more realistic and engrossing.

Unlike a village theme, there's no strong politics, rivalry, bitterness etc.

The sound track is catchy and sounds quite acoustic. The music sounds distinctly local. No loud surrounds, or sound fx etc. Thankyou so so much. The music and visuals, the overall treatment all are well balanced.

Is the bull captured? Is the mission easy? Go watch the movie to find out. If you go with an open mind; and if you like easy viewing, you will definitely appreciate the film. It will make you smile and feel good for sure. A sweet film.

Looking for similar from the same team. Give us more good cinema.

A kid grows up and avenges
29 April 2006
A very typical Bolly wood drama of the eighties. A loyal union leader is murdered and made it to look like an accident. His son grows up and takes revenge. This was Sanjay Dutts first movie and it shows... childish acting and dancing. However if does give the film a fresh feel. Its got all you can expect from a Hindi movie, songs dance, action, tragedy and of course a happy ending. Music is particularly melodious and RD Burman has done a great job at that. Amjad Khan does a positive role here. A must see for Sanjay Dutt fans and also for those who enjoy eighties Hindi cinema. Its fun to see Shakti Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt disco dancing.

Story of an overconfident conman !
11 April 2006
A conman to the core who loves taking lethal risks for the joyride and the money finds it difficult to mend his ways after his lover finds about his reality. A rookie thief who bumps into the con-master, begs him to teach him the tricks of the trade and becomes his sidekick. What follows then is fun, adventure and a dangerous mission. You have to pay special attention to the events, characters and their dialogs. This is because all things have unapparent significance. Bluffmaster is shot entirely in Mumbai and surprisingly makes it look good. Abhishek is definitely matured and Ritesh is good fun. Actress Priyanka looks great and acts just right, nothing overdone. A thriller with a cool attitude and good music that keeps you glued till the end. Smart one liners, good aesthetics, pacey storytelling make this an offbeat bollywood flick. If you like good movies , don't miss this one. And yes the end makes sense.

A comedy about revenge , with help from a ghost!
9 April 2006
A story involving an innocent man , a murder and a funloving ghost. A rare comedy that will surely be fun if you're bored with the typical

Marathi regional films.

Well written directed and acted this film is pure logic less fun.

If u like Marathi films watch this , u may really laugh out aloud.

Quite pacey and enjoyable.

Sachin has again delivered a good film which may not be of the highest budget but a sure shot entertainer definitely.

I think this is the first film that also has bollywod actor Jonny Lever doing some fun things.

This film was made during the comedy era of Marathi films and it does leave a mark.

An intellectual art film
23 October 2004
This is a good art film. Referenced from mythology, even names of the characters refer to the ancient times. Set in modern times its a conflict of personalities & emotions between two industrialist families.

The director is well know for his narrative style this ones no exception.

No song and dance here as well as no bollywood style gunfights. A nice intellectual film overall. If you like dance , music & action , this ones not for you.If you'd like to see the hero Karan (Shashi Kapoor) in fun loving films, check out "Do aur do paanch or Namak Halaal"

Its real fun the disco way!!
23 October 2004
Its the 80s of Bollywood , so what do ya expect?

Its melodrama, dance , music , fun all the way!

The hero, seems to be the Michael Jackson of India & it shows in an utterly entertaining way.Just remember to keep aside any logic whatsoever , grab yer pop corn & soda ...enjoy all the way! Its hilarious(unintentionally) , has lots of dance , music and fun. Basically a revenge story of a kid whose father is brutally murdered and he grows up to avenge ; only as a disco dancer. This is similar to movies like DISCO DANCER, DANCE DANCE etc. but probably more entertaining.

A typical bollywood movie with saucy kimi
23 October 2004
Apart from being a typical bollywood movie of the 80s(with disco music) this one dares more than others. Intead of thinking about the dumb muscled Tarzan u gonna be quite impressed with the saucy girl Kimi, who is pretty bold for an Indian movie. See through tops of luscious Kimi are worth the average movie. A landmark in boldness in an Indian movie, this one has good songs though. Tarzan is again unintentionally funny but entertaining nevertheless. An overall happy movie, no disturbing violence, only romance in the jungle.
