Savage Dog (2017)

Not that fantastic but Good for Adkin fans

Lets get the obvious out of the way, is it something that will keep you on the edge of the seat? No. The story was quite OK. The script was barely good. The acting was just decent however as usual when the action and choreography is concerned with Scott Adkins, he is great. This movie is no where close to The Ninja series or the Undisputed Series however if you are Adkins fan , I would suggest you see it. It starts off slow but the action sequences at the end becomes really nice and has couple of strange twists as well which keep your head scratching. All in all good action movie but that's about it.

NH 10 (2015)

Surprisingly good movie

It was coming on TV and I normally don't watch too many bollywood movies because their song, dance and melodrama does not catch my fancy however living in South Delhi and always travelling to Gurgaon for meeting friends and clients , this movie got my attention. By the end I could see that it was basically a script taken of many other Hollywood films (or British) like Eden lake (but not children) however lets not take anything away from the film. The direction, editing , background score and surprisingly Anoushka's (whom I actually don't like much) acting was pretty good too.

It should what rural Harayana quintessentially is like without any tongue in cheek humour which is what I liked. It's not some to joke about. The movie is definitely worth a watch or two until and unless you are from rural Harayana or U.P then the truth might hurt you.

Enemy (2013)

highly under rated master piece

When I first saw the rating on IMDb , I wasn't expecting much but boy was I wrong. I realise that this movie probably went above a lot of people's head and that is why it has a poor rating but make no mistake , this movie is a master piece in itself. From the story, editing , direction and cinematography , nothing is left wanting . Acting by Jake is wonderful . I feel really bad that a movie of this stature and class has a ranking lower than 7 where as it deserves at least above 7.5 . Its definitely a bit confusing and one might need to watch it couple of times to get it but everything makes sense . I got most of it the first time and the things I didn't get , forums filled the gaps. If you like good narrative movies do not give this a miss .

Dredd (2012)

High Octane Adrenaline action movie

Small spoilers: Its seldom that a remake surpasses its predecessor but that's exactly what happened here. I hear that the movie's theme was actually taken from a Thai action movie however the story holds ground as much ground an action movie would or can hold. I feel bad that the movie did not do too well commercially , it should have considering it was far better than the original Silverster Stallone version . The inclusion of the psychic gave it a nice twist in my opinion . There are some parts in the story which the psychic gave reason to think. The action sequences were very well choreographed , specially the slo-mo ones . The light and colour saturation looked very nice. Karl Urban had that I don't care if I live or die attitude pretty well placed and Lena Headey proved again that she can play the negative roles really well. If you are a fan of action movies this one is a definite watch.

Hardcore Henry (2015)

awesome first person shooter in movie format

I have one question for you. Do you love first person shooters? If the answer to that is in affirmative then you will simply love this movie. This movie is simply a first person shooter recorded by someone else and you watch it. It has levels , stages , cut scenes , bosses , minions , weapon drops , med kits , final boss fight and all that comes along with a nice FPS game. It also has some cool twists to go along where you scratch your head wondering what the hell is going on. People who didn't like this movie are probably people who have never gamed in their life and got motion sickness or something on those lines. The movie starts off a bit slow but then it picks up and by the end you just love every bit of it. The movie was mostly shot on go pro , which in itself is quite an achievement . I feel bad that so many nay Sayers exist to this wonderful new idea. This movie is what the Doom movie should have been instead it was just nonsense. So here is my two bits , if you have motion sickness or do not like gaming then maybe this movie is not for you otherwise don't miss it.

Exciting fast moving feature

The cast is nice , Chris Hemsworth , Charlize Theron , Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt are all accomplished actors and they did their roles well. The story had an obvious ending and an obvious twist but then that's not what the movie was all about. If you want to watch an action packed fantasy drama with some decent CGI effects and decent acting , well you cant discount this film . I personally found this better than the first one as the first one was tad slower and seemed to drag on a bit perhaps more so because of snow white and her frozen acting . Here the frost queen acted more fluidly . I did enjoy the CGI as well because it was not over used and the colouring of the gold with black in contrast with the ice queens blue and white went really well. In my opinion its definitely worth a watch.

Gunda (1998)

This movie is SO BAD that its AWESOME

please watch this movie with alcohol in your hand and chips by your side with your buddies. You wont stop laughing for one minute. Of course the directors and actors wanted to make a serious action movie which never happened but if you watch it as a comedy..its as good as naked gun or hot shots. This movie makes absolutely no sense. Direction and acting is so horrid that you will have tears in your eyes with laughter. It seems like script was written by some horny teenagers and dialogues by some mentally challenged person. All that said so many years later if you really want to have a good laugh with your friends on a boring night, its a great way to spend your time laughing. The double meaning sentences are just too much. Of course you need to understand Hindi for it as otherwise the duplicity will not be understood. Don't take my word it... got watch it.
