Frasier (2023– )
8/10
The best is yet to come
24 October 2023
Having watching the first three episodes so far I can simply say it's got better with each episode. I've watched all three a couple of times and I can't wait for the next each week.

The opening episode was better than I expected and I'm not one of these people to judge it against the original show. It's not written by the same writers and in fact has little to do with the original show other than Kelsey as Frasier, the same casting director and a couple of guests so... basically the same as when Frasier moved to Seattle having finished Cheers. One main character moved onto Frasier and it worked.

This show has potential and I hope to see more from it.

Alan Cornwall is a wonderful addition and Nicholas Lyndhurst is a superb actor. Made to play this role.

Friends: The One Where No One's Ready (1996)
Season 3, Episode 2

Perfect bottle episode
8 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For me this is one of the greatest episodes of Friends. In fact it's the best. Set in real time and a total bottle episode it's such fun to see how they all interact whilst Ross just wants them to get ready for his big night.

Each member of the main cast shows their true colours

I simply wish there was more sitcoms who use this method as well as Friends did. Frasier did this well with My Coffee With Niles, Seinfeld did it with The Chinese Restaurant... as much as many say Friends isn't as good as those shows I believe this episode shows it can compete with them and very well too

This is my absolute favourite episode of the show.

TCM continues....
20 February 2022
I adore atone Hoopers original movie. This isn't anywhere near as good but for 90 minutes you're entertained and it's full of gore. Leatherface is justified in being upset and wanting to take revenge after the events early on in the movie. Some good scenes, some suspense and a nice callback with a familiar face returning.

Classic horror 😂
14 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So I remember watching this movie back in the 90's. It follows some classic horror traits.... Kissing or exposing body parts means you'll be next. Imagine a teen slasher but with bees

Entertaining, I've always enjoyed this movie.

Not my thing
14 January 2022
I've always loved the original series and the college years series that followed. Sadly this new series is too modern and cool for me. However I'm 38 now so let's face it I'm not the target market for this show. I'll stick with the originals.

The Shack (I) (2017)

A film of two halves
2 January 2022
A shack? Oregon? Ticks boxes for me. The first 40-50 minutes seem great and like a film I wanna watch. A story of a missing child and the hunt for her..... then when he gets to the Shack the whole film changes. I finished it as I'll never turn a film off half way through but mentally I switched off half way.

Entertaining but blah

If you've ever seen a 90 minute thriller before then you'll be able to predict most of this movie. It entertains but it's cliché throughout. Nothing new. Easy to watch though.
