Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
AWESOME!!
IT WAS AWESOME!! A direct follow up to the 1st film. The action sequences to the cast from Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly to Glen Powell & Monica Barbaro was incredible!
For Tom Cruise, he has made his iconic character stand the test of time including a bittersweet reunion with Val Kilmer's Iceman that is one for the ages.
This film was 2 years worth the wait & the one that is not to be missed.
SO GO SEE IT!! You're in for a massive treat!!! 😎🔥🔥

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022)
Abomination!!
This was... horrible! It was never a Rescue Rangers movie, It's a Disney movie selling Disney.
Selling themselves. I knew from DAY ONE this was off from the direction to its trailers. I Always knew.
While I'm very, very grateful to see my childhood characters given the feature film treatment, It was an abomination. I was expecting this to be an in-universe movie where the Rescue Rangers are actual crime fighters like in the series. Very faithful to the material. The entire self-meta direction was messy and forgettable. I nearly fell asleep twice.
When the film "G-Force" was release in theaters back in 2009, I thought that was the precursor to a Rescue Rangers film and maybe a live action "Rescuers" film (maybe setup a mini shared universe).
Hopefully make a film with all 3 in one, but after this, this is wrong and a letdown on every levels.
Drawing one hand drawn animation and the other CGI was bad enough, unnecessary cameos, and the voices... was unbearable. In the episode "Flash the Wonder Dog", where Dale finds out that he's just an Actor which made him upset. That's how this movie made me feel.
If you are fan of old cartoon (like myself) this is an insult to fans from the original show. This self-meta direction would've worked for a (long awaited) "Roger Rabbit" sequel or a "Bonkers" film,
BUT NOT THIS FILM!
RESCUE RANGERS.... STAY AWAY!
DISNEY, GET YOUR S*** TOGETHER AND KEEP THE LONELY ISLAND AWAY OF IT.... PERIOD!

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
HISTORIC FILM SEQUEL!!!
OMG... this film exceeded all my expectations from start to finish, from the ALL STAR cast to the action scenes to "THE WORST KEPT SECRET" in the entire film!!!
A HISTORIC FILM SEQUEL for Spider-Man!! GO SEE IT!!
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Redemption and Vindication at its best!!
E-P-I-C! This is redemption and vindication at its best!! Everything about film made sense, characters redeemed themselves & a lot of wow factor from start to end. It was emotional, story driven & majestic from the music score to the action sequences.
This is what Justice League should have been 4 years ago and we're very, very grateful we had our voice be heard. Thank you to the cast, the crew, HBO Max & Warner Media. Thank you to Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder & AFSP. And most of all from one fan to all the fans who fought this, we did it everyone, you are all superheroes.
Godspeed Autumn Snyder

Tom and Jerry (2021)
2 icons still stand the test of time.
It was very enjoyable! Those 2 icons still stand the test of time. Chloë Grace Moretz and Michael Pena done a great job on their roles. Not since Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Looney Tunes: Back In Action we got to see standard 2-D animation and live action & finally got to see back on screen.
A MUST SEE!!

Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020)
I asked for Birds of Prey. I didn't asked for Harley Quinn.
To Be Honest, it's more Harley Quinn & less Birds of Prey. It was exactly what I've expected. Quinn overshadowed the Huntress, Black Canary & Montoya. Besides decent action sequences & stellar performances from Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett, Rosie Perez & Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, This was a letdown (even the title was flat out ridiculous). No offense but Robbie's character should've went either her own solo film or a Gotham City Sirens film. It was the weakest film and the low point of the DCEU.
I asked for Birds of Prey. I didn't asked for Harley Quinn.
3/10!
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Enjoyable film sequel from start to finish!
I've enjoyed this film sequel from start to finish. a lot of easter eggs, love the action sequences a few surprises especially the John Murphy score "Adagio In D Minor" from Sunshine.
Gal Gadot was flawless as Wonder Woman and as Diana. But Kristen Wiig nailed Cheetah!! Her performance will make her role in #Ghostbusters forgettable (Yeah, I said it! 😠). Both # Chris Pine and Pedro Pascal did an amazing job as Steve and Max Lord.
Praise to director Patty Jenkins on the film sequel. The best Christmas gift. One of the best for the DCEU. A MUST SEE in theaters and in home. and In my opinion...
This film surpasses #BirdsOfPrey!
Sorry #MargotRobbie! 😁
10/10!
..also, stay for the mid-credits!
X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)
A LETDOWN!
I will admit, for a culmination of almost 20 years of X-Men films, this one was a letdown. Instead of going out strong and leaving a good impression, they did the exact opposite. Avengers: Endgame had a satisfying ending, this one didn't. It's a very clear (& obvious) sign that this film puts the final nail in the coffin for the X-Men film franchise. Is it worth seeing it in theaters & IMAX? 🤔 😕 not really.
Save your money, wait for it on Blu-Ray.
3/10!

Avengers: Endgame (2019)
SATISFYING & BITTERSWEET
THERE ARE NO WORDS. NO WORDS AT ALL HOW TRULY SATISFYING & BITTERSWEET THIS FILM IS!!!! Everything, I mean everything exceeded my expectations from beginning to end.
Its the Return Of The Jedi, Return Of The King and The Undiscovered Country of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
10/10!
Shazam! (2019)
A Momentum of Awesomeness
It was a momentum of awesomeness. It had everything, intense action, tone, humor and heart. Lot of easter eggs. Asher Angel & Zachary Levi embodied the world's mightiest mortal. Mark Strong was excellent as Silvana. Nice to see him portrayed another DC supervillain since Sinestro in Green Lantern. The remaining cast were outstanding. Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton and company are the scene stealers in the film. Hats off to David Sandberg for making this film comic book accurate! A MUST SEE! GO SEE IT!

Legends of Tomorrow: Invasion! (2016)
Enjoyable!!
Believe it or not, The Invasion! 3-part crossover was enjoyable!
They're certain areas for me that was cringe worthy.
01. Iris being overprotected to Wally: She was acting more like a mother than a "sibling" (which in reality both Iris and Wally are aunt and nephew)that forbids her to not use his speed. Though i was happy to see Wally fully embrace himself as Kid Flash and standing up to "drama queen".
02. Vibe's grudge on Flash: Through the entire crossover, Cisco's personal grudge on Barry being responsible for changing the time line resulted in his brother's death was just getting ridiculous as his pop culture references. But karma really bit him in the ass after he alter time by helping freed a Dominator resulted in a much bigger problem. Cisco missed up & they got paid. Serves him right.
03. Felicity: Less of her, the better :) Moving on! :)
04. Arrow 100: though it was a nice milestone, the subplot with Cisco, Felicity & the Outsiders along with Flash & Supergirl (aka the Justice Glee) was the main focus and less of Ollie, Diggle, Sara, Ray & Thea that were abducted by the Dominators.
06. The FX: The Dominators were created using cutting-edge computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane's interpretation of the characters. Though hats off to the FX people, we've only seen little of the Dominators. Plus in the credits, who provided their voice?
07. The Network: for the men and women of the CW, the marketing for this crossover suck, even the tag line "Heroes v Aliens" was kind of lame (especially that the White Canary & Heat Wave are actually "Legendary" villains). But the worst of it is that they marketed as a 4 part crossover event. Flash, Arrow & Legends has titled "Invasion!" & it's only 3 parts "not 4". The majority of Supergirl's episode "Medusa" was a standalone episode except the final 2 minutes (incuding 1 and 2 scenes)and yet fans eat it up. All it ended up was a error of promotion & labeled it as a 4 part episode, which turned out to be nothing but a cheap gimmick.
And finally, 08. Supergirl: 1 word: overkill. Barry thought this was a good idea, thinking "in order to fight aliens, we need an alien (but from a different earth)" by getting help from Supergirl. For me it was a waste of time & effort. In the end it was more of a tag along. The training sequence between her and Green Arrow, Speedy & the "Legends" was a joke, giving everything they got and just "tickling" her. Also Kara was kind of out of place, no where to fit in & was underused. To be honest with you, they didn't really need Supergirl in this crossover. They could've fought the Dominators without her.
For the good moments:
- the hall of justice
- The standoff scene
- The fight sequences
- familiar faces: Deathstroke, Laurel, Ollie's parents, etc.
- Team ups!!
Minus the flaws, some of the wooden acting & the unnecessary soap opera drama and characters, It was enjoyable. :)

Ghostbusters (2016)
Disastrous!
Finally, I've just saw Ghostbusters (2016) online and well, in the words of Bill Murray from "Scrooged":
"Oh my gosh! Does that suck."
Yep, I could've agree with you more!
This was disastrous, down right silly in certain scenes and most importantly, I didn't even laugh once! Even the cameos and the VFX from ILM didn't help at all.
What's really bad about it is that they had the entire 2 decades (from 1990s to 2000s) to get GB3 off the ground. All it ends up is all talk, script changes & which actor is on board.
For me, I'm one of the people who actually approved to reboot GB or even do a GB3 with using the characters from Extreme Ghostbusters. But it ended up in a different direction that none of us are happy about.
Casting was just plain wrong from day one. But to be honest, I never ever, ever, ever blame the actors or their performances. That goes to its writers and its director.
But granted Kate McKinnon is very attractive!!!
Between this & last year's Fantastic Four, we all saw this coming! from the casting to its direction of where its going. Now, us moviegoers are becoming very skeptic with film reboots. So now all eyes are on the upcoming Power Rangers film reboot.
One thing I've learned, PC or not, gender swap or not, when it comes to reboots both TV & film, either do it right & don't do it at all!
To every Ghostbusters fans out there who dodge this bullet in theaters, I applaud you!
Spend you time watching the original & its sequel and the animation itself.
And thank you Paul Feig for ruining a classic!!
Who you gonna call? Someone else!!
Ghostbusters (2016): 1 out of 10!
Supergirl (2015)
Too campy, Too PC, Too awkward & Too jovial for me
Although (and granted) it was good attempt on bringing Supergirl to TV, the show itself is too campy, too PC, too awkward & too jovial for me. The cast did an amazing job. Hats off to Melissa Benoist & the rest of the cast for their performance but THIS Supergirl was more cheerful and more of a pacifist than the brash and defiant personality she has in the comics. Also they used the same plot device that was used in both Arrow & The Flash (2014)
For the rest of the cast,
Alex is (believe it or not), a scene stealer and more of a Supergirl than Supergirl herself. It's the 3rd TV adaptation to have an original character as a main character.
Winn (Toyman) is the 2nd character that is in actually (soon to be) a supervillain since Caitlin Snow (Killer Frost) in The Flash (2014)
Jimmy Olsen was.... So So. though i did like his Signal Watch.
Cat Grant.... This version, she has an ego the size of Apokolips. VERY COLD. I'm surprised Kara put up with her.
J'onn Jozz was the only reason this show is improving but slowly.
Lucy, Gen. Lane & Max Lord was also decent.
Good moments: Omegahedron, Martian Manhunter, The Flash (guest starring), the villains (Reactron, Silver Banshee, Livewire, etc.), The Superman alum: Helen Slater, Laura Vandervoort (2 ex-Girls of Steel) and Dean Cain, decent fight sequences. Less on Superman.
The Flaws: Pointless speeches & life lessons, a "Team Supergirl" (ala Team Arrow & Team Flash), Supergirl working for the DEO, chessy dialogue, being PC, Vartox, Red Tornado, Maxima, Jemm & Indigo are the villains (in actually are the heroes), Supergirl being careless by revealing her identity, having her suit man made, Supergirl trying to be like her cousin.
All in all, this show was campy, jovial & fluffy for my taste. Even Mars' last survivor & the Scarlet Speedster couldn't save this show. However, IF they do get a season 2 (minus the flaws), it should be respecting the source material, make it relevant, twists, good fight sequences, dialogue. no plot devices & better character developments, the show would be a little better.
I gave Supergirl a 2 out of 10.
Supergirl: Worlds Finest (2016)
Decent!
The episode was decent. The chemistry with Barry & Kara was fun & awkward at the same time. The villain team up, their...... Revenge Squad (based on the Superman Revenge Squad) was OK despite the fact That Cat Grant created 2 supervillains & not owning up to her mistakes. WHAT AN EGO! The problem thought-out this episode is continuity. The last Flash episode, "Trajectory" would have been a connection to this episode. the last five minutes would've shown Flash ran passed the Mach 3.3 mark & open a portal between alternate worlds (e.g. Supergirl universe).
Overall this episode was decent. It's NOT really worth the wait (besides Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice WAS worth the wait). But it's decent.
Because of The Flash guest starring, I gave this episode a: "4" out of 10.
The Avengers (2012)
Spectacular & Historic
This film is not only spectacular but its an "historic" superhero feature film at its best. This is worth the wait. Hell, this was worth the wait 7 years ago when it was first developed. Do we really think this will be in development hell? This is The Avengers "EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES!" This is something what has NEVER been done before & Marvel has got there finger on the pulse. In 1998, a minor marvel character featuring a human/vampire hybrid made it way to the big screen. In 2000, a group of mutants evolved into the box office. In 2002, was the year of the Spider.
After Daredevil, Hulk (Ang Lee), The Punisher, Elektra, Man-Thing, Fantastic Four & Ghost Rider, Marvel Studios would start producing its own films and distribute them through Paramount Pictures & the funding will come from a seven-year, $525 million revolving credit facility with Merrill Lynch. The result led to the creation of the "Marvel Cinematic Universe". Sounds cool, right? It was. No, really, It F***in' was. Iron Man made its motion picture debut, The Hulk got rebooted, Thor & Captain America have "FINALLY" got the Big screen treatment. Then came a huge shift in the Marvel universe.... Marvel Entertainment is now owned by Mickey Mouse.
Amazing. Disney let go the Power Rangers franchise & bought Marvel.
But after everything from comics to TV & film Marvel has put out it comes to show just how far they come as a company & knowing the fact that the biggest supporters (including me) are the fans. That is why they CAN NOT Disappoint us. Yeah, we complain about story lines, costumes & special effects, But if they stay true to the comics, the films would have done its justice. But i know deep down, Marvel Studios will always put out films & stay close to the material. So, what i've said earlier, was it worth the wait? Yes. Yes it was "definitely" worth it.
Marvel Studios, the cast & crew of The Avengers did an amazing job & on the Marvel Cinematic Universe & i can't wait to see what comes next.
Now if DC & Warner Bros. step their game up, we would like to see the Justice League into the big screen.
