They/Them (2022)
Love this fairly Teen-20s Suspense/Horror Film
Many twists and turns in this Gay Conversion Film staring a vast array of great young talent, and of course Kevin Bacon.
Suggested age 17+
Sexual Scenes
Horror/Killings Implied
Gay Conversion Sessions
Don't listen to any bad review and give this Movie a try.
The Abandoned (2006)
Don't be fooled: BAD
THE ABANDONED (2006) had a fabulous, Gothic cover which sucked me into watching this Film. I was not "feeling" the title actress and did not know if she could carry the Film. With an OPEN MIND (liking many genres),... I continued.
The Pros: 1)Great Acting 2)Cool Cinematography 3)Good Storyline (for awhile)
Cons: (Watching the entire Film...) Premise is extremely disturbing and only suited for GORE FANS whom root for The Bad Guy(s)
Wish I had never viewed this Film as it was terrible. Virtually nothing redeeming.
Nightlight (2015)
Scary yet Bad Ending
Rarely can I handle shaky Cam Horror Flicks yet NIGHTLIGHT is 1) Well Acted 2)Suspenseful 3)Engaging
The Negetative: NO Happy or even Neutral Ending!
I do Not write Spoilers (and am Not going to write one now). Just say, if you want the Premise to be clear and have resolute at the end of your HORROR FILMS... NIGHTLIGHT will NOT provide that for you.
It's creepy scary, in an unfamiliar woods with only flashlights. The actors, dialogue, darkened setting, and night sounds provide most of the Chills. Not an Alls Well That Ends Well feel. Pit in stomach sort of film, I am glad I hadn't viewed at night.
Cannot say I recommend to anyone that's not a Hardcore Horror Fan. It's not visually "overtly graphic"... though it does contain some blood and gore. It's basically the knowledge that someone has perished, and the sound of that which is the creepy factor. So, watch if you root for "The Bad Guys" or want the unknown "The Things That Go Bump In The Night" to be victorious!
Ghost Machine (2009)
Incredible Action-Horror Ghost Film
GHOST MACHINE offers established, notable international Film Stars and younger, up-and-coming ones. WATCH the entire Film before writing "this off".
Cons: *the lower-end budget *disturbing context *beginning has shaky-cam thing (yet this is only at start)
PROS: *U.K./Irish Film (yet with accents and dialog all American Viewers will be to comprehend) *young(er) stars, especially Rachael Taylor who's character/acting shines through the more she is on screen *dark, macabre locale *similar to Thirteen Ghosts (2001) in the CREEPY Factor and in ways which you will find out!
David Bowie: Five Years (2013)
Incredible BOWIE Film
Not TYPICAL MTV style Bio. This is ART as much as David Bowie is a True ARTIST! This Film which uses Music Videos/Rare Making Of, Live Stage Performances, David Bowie interviews, and various background info and Personal chats with many, many of his Musicians and Collaborators is breathtaking and a refreshing combination, in Film! Indeed, so numerous are the interviews yet sharing details which are heartfelt and honest. In the end, you and all those heard from know RockNRoll, Dance, and Alternative Music has been tremendously influenced by David Bowie! Bowie, all-the-while was simply living his life which created an art form like no other single Performer has in Past, or may ever come near, in future. *A MOVIE to Own!
