American Horror Story: Preech (2023) Season 12, Episode 5

Are you kidding me? Wtf was that?? Another AHS season and *yet again* we're left with NOTHING. Well, half a season; second half apparently returns in 2024 - not that I'll be watching.

So, season 12: some nebulous, convoluted BS involving witches, a boring movie star "Rosemary" being gaslit, her equally boring husband, Kim K, tedious, badly acted rich people problems in vast charmless surroundings, any horror element is replaced by silly and disgusting gore. Not a single character is relatable or likeable, they're like dolls. Completely bland, flat. I couldn't give a f what happened to any of them. It's like watching the washing machine spin - nothing. Just a grey dull blurry nothing.

I'm done with AHS. Done hoping it'll return to its former standards - it won't. It's just a waste of time.

Just watched the last episode. I'm at a loss - what was the point of this whole spinoff?? It adds *absolutely nothing* to the AHS universe, it leeches the magic away from the original Murder House season, if anything. There was so much lore to work with, *this* self-sabotaging rubbish is the best they could come up with?

Every aspect of this series is so incredibly lackluster. The acting is frequently beyond the pale terrible. And what's with casting all these kids/siblings of famous people when they can't act worth a damn?? Do the creators really think people will cringe less because mommy or daddy is a FaMoUs PeRsOn..? You used to hire giants like Jessica Lange ffs!

Speaking of self-sabotage; in the final, arguably most annoying and pretentious episode, the creators are trying (and failing) to be cute by breaking the 4th wall and then some character literally burns Murder House to the ground.. If the creators have such little regard for their own creation then why should anyone else care about it?

I'll try my hardest to forget I ever saw this crap. It doesn't bode well for the upcoming AHS season 10.

..that this prequel was canned. The Long Night, are you kidding me?? I would have LOVED to see that. Gorgeous primordial scenery, White Walkers, the Children, ice spiders, maybe the inception of the wall etc - so much incredible material to work with. :(
