The movie is well done. The slow set up works. It's well-acted. The ending is just too implausible for me to buy it. I was invested. I completely bought the agoraphobic story. I just wish the ending weren't so out of left field.

It succeeds at what it set out to do - be a fun, silly creature feature.
I grew up on the delicious 50s sci-fi movies.
This recalls them in the best way... with velociraptors!! And Eric Roberts, who is a treat to watch.
Suspend reality and enjoy the fun!

The bad reviewers don't get that this is a lower budget movie that is intended to be silly fun. It succeeds on many levels.
So it's not on a Hollywood blockbuster level!
Please learn to enjoy movies that didn't have scads of money thrown at them.
This is a darling movie with some truly outstanding performances for this genre.
Watch this updated version of Snow White with a Christmassy flair with or without the kids.
I loved it!
