Pusher II (2004)
Worth viewing
This movie - like Pusher - has a really unique atmosphere. There is something completely mesmerizing about it. Even though it has little action it is interesting and intense. The main character is a criminal who is struggling with himself and those around him. He wants his crime boss father to love him, to respect him. In order to accomplish this he has to prove himself as a hardworking criminal. As a viewer we want to see if he succeeds as a criminal and earns the respect from his father, or if cuts ties with the criminal environment he has been in for so long.
I gave it 7/10 stars.
Min misunnelige frisør (2004)
An enjoyable watch (lesser spoilers)
After watching 10 minutes of this movie you've met the gullible, lovable coward that is Bent. He is at least supposed to be pushing 30 or be in his 30s but he still eats dinner home with his dad ever so often only to be bossed around and insulted. He's had the same barber forever and they have a very weird relationship. The barber, Frank, comes off as something of a psycho. Slightly evil, seemingly unstable and not someone I'd get my hair cut from. The change in Bent's life is what this movie is about. He is tired of hearing his dad calling him a coward and he wants to change it. One of his first actions is kissing the new neighbor called Susie. Frank doesn't like Susie and this leads to complications since Bent often commits do doing things with Frank. He has to choose to overcome his cowardice or he will be stuck with Frank.
What makes this movie good is its unpredictable nature. Although a movie not built on absurdity, the little absurdity it does have works magic for it. An overall slow movie with good acting and a beautiful ending. Give it a go! Voted 10 since I thought the rating is totally unfair. Should have been at least a 7!
